It is very good school. Parents are involved with teachers to make a difference.

I have seen tremendous growth in my daughter and her happiness to go to school daily is a reflection of how much she enjoys her teacher, her peers and the school atmosphere in general.

My son joined this school in 2019 in 3rd grade after we moved to Milpitas. 3rd grade wasn’t a good experience, mainly due to his teacher, who, in my opinion, does not have the attitude or ability expected of a teacher . He needed some time to adjust to the new school and way of learning but she didn’t help him at all. She only doubted his abilities and made all of us anxious. To top it, she was outright rude in some of our interactions. 4th grade was mostly online due to Covid but we opted for the same teacher for 5th grade. She was alright and actually encouraging.6th grade was a challenge with the teacher being motivating in some cases but rude and unapproachable in most other instances. Overall, the teachers are not up to the standards expected. The principal listens to your opinions and feedback but does nothing to rectify issues. Students perform well in tests so the school seems to have a good reputation but there’s a lot to do in terms of teaching environment and inculcating good character in children.

Both my sons currently attend Sinnott and we gave been blown away by the caliber of teachers and the principal too. Our sons both have health issues and the school staff have been very supportive of them and still ensuring they get a good education. We couldn’t ask for a better school.

We moved from Cupertino area. We found John Sinnott is equally better school as Cupertino schools. We are very happy and my daughters teacher provides feedback on every test. That will teach kids learning their mistakes with high focus. I see a great improvement in my daughter since we started in this school.

It was our first year at John Sinnott, and also our first year fully distance learning due to the pandemic. We were so lucky to have Mrs.Barber teach our son in 2nd grade. Being a teacher is hard enough, but throw in a pandemic and the challenges of distance learning, Mrs. Barber did a great job. She provided us with the tools to be able to help our children with distance learning effectively. She always answers our questions and keeps us updated on our child's progress. She does a great job communicating expectations, schedule, and instructions when needed. She makes sure the students are able to focus on their work, get rewarded appropriately, she acknowledges their achievements, and when there is room for improvement she gives us guidance. Mrs. Barber is an excellent teacher and we are so thankful for all her hard work and dedication to her students.

We are so grateful to have Mrs Barber as our son's second grade teacher.Teachers require so many positive qualities like care, compassion, patience and commitment. You have all these qualities in abundance. The past year has been difficult for our family, and you have been a stable and supportive part of our son's life through this time.We are well aware of the effort you put into each child in your class. Thank you for going above and beyond for our son.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Overall a great school and we are happy to have come here. Teachers on an individual basis are wonderful. Sinnott has really great teachers from our experience so far. Not much focus on community or community efforts from school administration from what we see. Campus safety and student protection is good and haven't observed any issues. PTA leadership is really shown here and supports the school in many areas.

It's a well performing public school, wish it would focus more on extra curricular activities and not just on test scores

Great School! Teachers at John Sinnott make it an Amazing school! My daughter is in Mr.Throm's class. He takes the kids on 5 to 6 field trips in a year. Kids have lot of fun at the same time have a great learning experience. Everyday they get Math, Writing and Reading HW. This year all the third grade teachers use NY common core curriculum materials for Math which is really good. These problems help the students understand the concept better. I really love the math worksheets she gets for Homework. I hope higher grades use the same material for Math. Mr.Throm is very strict at the same time very approachable. He is a wonderful teacher. I am glad that my daughter is in Mr.Throm's class.
