Unfortunately, St. Luke's will be closing for good at the end of this school year.

St. Luke s has gone horribly wrong in the last two years. The dedicated staff and administrators who made this school such a success have all left, either due to retirement or to work at other private schools in Merced. Music, drama, athletics; all of these unique, successful programs are gone. Participation in outside activities such as the Writing Festival and Spelling Bee has ceased to exist. Standardized test scores have dropped across the board. The current Principal is completely incapable of running the school, and the members of the School Board, who were trying to stop this slide into oblivion were summarily dismissed so that the Principal could keep her job. As a result, enrollment has plummeted as parents voted with their feet. Although the school still advertises itself as Pre-K through 5th grade, they now only have students in preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade. So sad.
