They let kids of opposite genders change in the same locker room. A bio-girl changes in the boys locker room and a bio-boy changes in the girls locker room. My daughter is friends with the girl and she tells my daughter that she likes boys yet, she is allowed to change in the boys locker room and how she watches the boys change. My daughter also shared that they called her in and asked what her preferred name and gender is. They also told her that they would not tell or share this with her parents

My daughter went to this school for 7th and 8th grades. She absolutely loved it! The growth I saw in my child academically and emotionally outweighed any concerns I may have had when we first started with this school. 8th grade was specially great! Mr. Cooper, Mr. Bromfield, Mr. Hart, and Mr. Church pushed my child to excellence. She went from thinking she was a B student to an "A" student. The principal, Mr. Ferguson is very supportive and hands on with students.

I am a student that goes to Rivera. I certainly do not recommend it to any parents to enroll their children to the school. Even though the school academics are great, there is way too much drugs alcohol and violence on this campus. I am hoping to get into Mcswain school for my 8th grade year. I dislike this school with a passion.
