    My son is a Freshman 2019-2020 at East. The parents have been invited to the school on several occasions to get to know the teachers and staff . This is helpful to better understand what is expected of our students and be involved in this journey. I would highly recommend the McHenry Community Schools District 156.

    I have 1 kid in school there now, she was a honer roll student in Middle school. Now is barely passing.I asked for a meeting so we can find out what could be done. At the meet Vise principal and some of the teachers.I asked her math teacher if he could help her out before or after school. Then I asked what % of the class was failing or barely passing . I was told more then half . He told me the kids don't want to learn . I don't believe that . we need teacher who what to teach and not just collect a pay check. The kids are the future of mchenry. And if you have teachers that don't care the kids don't care. If you wonder why Mchenry school system is in trouble,the system protect the teacher. If a teacher has 50% of kid failing there's a problem . The kids have to work hard and do there work be the teacher must be held accountable
