The worst I've ever seen or experienced. Bullying through the roof. Instruction is far behind.

I will start with the amazing outdoor education program that has inticed so much appreciation for the world. I love that my son is getting a wonderful education where he is being encouraged to excel. The enrichment programs are interesting and keep the kids wanting to learn more. Last but not least the school events are always a hit with lots of fun!

Crestwood is a great school! I was a Crestwood student. I am in high school now and was well prepared for middle school by the Crestwood staff. There was an abundance of fun activities. The school forest is a great part of Crestwod and it brings the school community together. Some of my highlights from Crestwood were the Crestwood Caper and the large library. All of my teachers were friendly and when I got to middle school we had learned all that kids from other schools had learned and more.

We love Crestwood Elementary. I have a 5th grader and a 2nd grader, and their teachers have been top-notch, willing and excited to teach to their individual levels. For my son's class, that means she has five levels of spelling words in one class! They also have small class sizes and a motivated, involved parental community. The person who wrote the last review does not seem that educated about everything that is going on at Crestwood. There are opportunities to be involved in your child's classroom directly, beyond the CAPT. I have personally be involved in raising thousands of dollars for the school and find it very rewarding.

I have not been impressed with Crestwood Elementary School. First and foremost the quality of education is poor at best. The only way your child will get a good education is if they test poorly according to the standard tests. They do not challenge children who are at grade level or advanced and will flat out tell you that is too much work. In addition to the poor quality of education, it has been my experience that the teachers and staff are not warm or welcoming rather very cold and uninviting. It seems to me if you are a parent and at the school it is a bother to them. Again in my experience, If you have a complaint the principle will do anything to pacify you for the moment until everything blows over or make one feel as if there isn't a problem and that you are perhaps overreacting. There are a select few parents who are involved with the school and it is almost like a high school clique. If you aren't part of the crowd be prepared to be irrelevant. I had high hopes for Crestwood but after a year and half we will be moving on. I have tried to remain positive and give the school a chance but it just isn't working out and we will be moving on.
