My experience as a student at this school was horrible. Bullying is a major problem there and the staff takes little to no notice about it. When they do, they most likely will not take it seriously and won't take a fair punishment to account. Despite the school saying it's "A safe environment, all are welcome, ect." I along with other students could think otherwise. Homophobic and racist students here are not punished enough for the things they do and say to other students. The school is unorganized and struggles to even make students follow basic rules.I would definitely not recommend sending your child here or going here yourself, depending on who you are. It is both a mentally and physically unsafe environment.

As a student who goes there at the moment and will be starting 8th grade next year it's a bit in the middle. We do not put bullying first, many fights happen on a daily basis around the same group of kids. Many kids here figure out who they are and take leadership in things but still many tend to goof off. The school is very racially diverse. Teachers are not the best. Only a few really see the kids as a whole not just as a student. Some teachers are very cranky and don't care. Some students are racist, sexist, homophobic and many of them aren't afraid to show it and use insults like "That's gay" or etc. The Psychiatrists are alright, they help kids but sometimes they just don't understand. If someone from the school district comes into a class who is a "high profile", We will put on our best fake personalities and try to act as normal and nice as possible until they leave. Though we have many great clubs like the Gay Straight Alliance, And BSU (Black student Union) and homework clubs, and cooking clubs. You're better off going to Badger Rock, Or White Horse.

Amazing school, two of my daughters child went to that school and I've only heard good new from Jefferson!
