A lot of parents are saying that the Pinewood school is a better fit for girls and I totally agree with them. The school is looking for quiet and obedient students. If your child is a very energetic boy, you should choose another school. Otherwise you will frequently receive long emails blaming your child’s trivial misbehaviors and fed up with it.Good point is that the parents community is excellent.

Some teachers are nice and good. But teachers are not stable. If you are not lucky your kids will be given an inexperienced teacher who just graduates. And they will only blame your kids but not train the teacher how to teach. If you have an active boy, be conservative about applying this school.

Think twice before writing this check. If you have a smart child, s/he will succeed. At this place, success (academic success as well as playground safety) is wholly dependent on the size of the endowment donation you can make. If that works for you, this is the perfect place. It is absolutely a “pay to play” institution.

We are so happy that our son is at Pinewood School. The program includes: Language arts, Math, Drama, PE, Music, Science, Spanish, Social Studies-all taught by subject specific teachers who are passionate about teaching. The children are happy and have smiles on their faces when you step on campus. My son can't stop talking about school when I bring him home.The school is very well run, which is attributed to the new leadership that came on board, Summer 2013.

My daughter is in her second year here and loves it so much she has asked to go to pinewood until "there are no grades left". The staff is loving and attentive and teachers are top notch and well loved by students. The extracurricular activities are amazing- art, PE every day, Spanish, social studies etc...The kids have a sense of community, self worth and ethics. My daughter is currently two grade levels ahead in math and language arts and I haven't had to pay for any tutors or special programs to get her there. I am so glad to have found this school and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone!
