Stoneview Elementary is the definition of a community school. They work diligently to support all the students. I came to this school from another district that did not provide the same level of support and care. My children love their teachers and I can tell that their teachers feel the same way.

Stoneview Elementary School is a hidden jewel. The staff is very professional and supportive to both parents and students. I feel like family each time I come to Stoneview. The school is warm and inviting.

If you have the option to send you child to another area school, PLEASE do so. My child was bullied and the school nor district did anything about it.

From my experience while having children enrolled at this school is.. It sucked! They'll make you feel they're putting an effort into helping your child but they're only covering themselves by labeling children and not dealing with the issues that are stopping the children from receiving quality education.

Awful its a disgrace to education the teachers are bullies they need to go back and get training on how to talk to students and inform parents when things happen. I would not send my dog there.

my son has attended this school since 3rd grade and now my grandson is attending this school. the staff is new and much more effective than the past. they are addressing each concern and resolving past issues one day at a time. my son tested high and has maintained a spot on the principals honor roll. the child has to make up his or her mind to learn and parents have to show involvement. i volunteer at my son's school all the time and have even spent time in the classroom. it takes us parents getting involved to help make a seamless school life experience for our children.

Well I'm very happy with Stoneview and I have enjoyed being a part of the best school every the staff is really great with the kid's and I wish that you parents start enter acting with the kids and teachers like coming to PTA meetings and volunteering some parents are not realizing that it starts from home plus to the woman who said the staff was horrible and that they are not teaching the kids I STRONGLY DISAGREE MY GRANDSON IS 87% in math and 91% o OVER THE KIDS IN HIS GRADE LEVEL SO AS I SAY GET INVOLED WITH UR CHILDS EDUCATION IT'S STARTS FROM HOME THE SCHOOL CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH

THIS SCHOOL IS VER BAD POOR LACK OF INTEREST TEACHERS GOTS TO SEND YOUR KIDS WITH OTHER TEACHERS BECAUSE THEY CANT DO OUTSIDE GETTING YOUR KIDS BEAT UP THEY GAVE YOU NO SATISFACTION. I WOULD NEVER EVER IN LIFE RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SEND THEIR KIDS THERE. THEY NEED TO CLOSE THIS SCHOOL OR CHANGE THE WHOLE STAFF FROM THE PRINCIPAL GO DOWN. YOU LEAVE MESSAGES, TO TRY AND SCHEDULE MEETINGS WITH STAFF AND YOU GETS NO CALL BACK THEY ARE VERY RUDE SO YOU TREAT THEM THE WAY THEY TREAT YOU SO BAD. I HATE THIS SCHOOL MY KIDS HATE THIS SCHOOL AND I DON'T HATE ANYTHING IN LIFE BECAUSE HATE IS NOT A VERY NICE WORD BUT I HATE STONE VIEW. THAT IS ALL

Thank you for your review..this was my son's first day and I wasn't excited by what I saw. I pray this is a true sense of "Don't judge a book by its cover" My review is not accurate as of yet, but everyone was friendly

We moved to Stoneview in Jan '10. JB was nervous to meet her teacher. The teacher looked out of place with blonde hair blue eye fair skin. Her name Mrs. M. shook J. hand and made her feel at ease. She had one of the other little ones get her hand and help her put her things away and help her get started on a winter activity they.We alked for a min. She gave me the information packet on the class. She was a very upbeat person. She then gave us a magnet that had all her information on it to include email address, website, school number and cell number. I thought to myself wow a teacher that wants to work with the parents and does not mind being bothered. Fast forward to two years later, she still keeps in touch my family has had some hard times and she has always been there for us. Stoneview may have a few bad apples, but not all. Please do not judge the whole school by a few WAY OUTDATED reviews.Just know Stoneview has great and caring staff and teachers. Check it out for yourself. Also this year they will be getting another principal. Hope this post helps put some minds at ease. I wish this teacher the best year ever he deserves it. She was great to my baby I still keep in touch.

I have worked at Stoneview for many years. I love my job, my students, my co-workers, and the admin. The parents need to start supporting the teachers and not blame us. Bring their kids on time and have them at school. It is hard for us to teach when your child comes to school 30 mins to 2 hours late or not at all. We care for the students as if they are our own. It hurts me to see these posts. We are not here to babysit we are here to TEACH, and you need to help us with that by making sure your child has their homework dine and projects completed. Attend conferences when asks, and do not take your child's word for everything, they do not always tell the whole truth, there are three sides to a story, the teachers, the child s and the truth. Even if you do not think it is true your child acts 100% different when YOU are not around, If I tell you they are doing something please believe me why would I lie on your child what do I have to gain? NOTHING. So get with the program, if you do not have a solution to the problem then you are part of the problem, come up with the solution and then we can talk. Thank you.

Stoneview is one of the worst schools in Dekalb County. I had to move my family in the middle of the year to another county, because of how unprofessional the Staff and Principals were. I went to the school to see my son's teacher and walked in on her, talking about my child in a negative way to another teacher. I could not believe what I was hearing? I went to the Principal about it and nothing was done! The Assistant Principal actually took my son out of school without my permission, put him in his car, and drove him home to my mother, without speaking to me or my mother first! I was told by the Principal that this was totally permissable? What? I found out later, with Great Assistance from my son's new school he has ADHD. Stoneview needs to learn to CARE for our children, not NEGLECT them!
