Not recommended for parents who care about their children. The administrators in the school have very bad manners. Got a really bad feeling overall. I feel sorry for the teachers who teach at school.

The overall review of this school does NOT seem right. In our experience (last 7+ years), this school staff put on their best effort (literally everyday) to make sure all kids succeed. Can this be re-reviewed please? Also, ideally special education students should not be compared with non-special education students. That seems one of the factor brining overall review down.

My sons right to a free education was violated. The principal and assistant principal do not support religious views or children with ADHD. Anytime I tried to advocate for my son I was met with resistance and retaliation. I asked for his work for a week he missed due to religious opposition, prior to his absence. I was denied his work. The assistant principal flat out lied about services that were available for my son’s disability. IEP meeting took almost two months to happen. Testing takes 60 days. IThe assistant principal takes everything as a personal attack and retaliates by harassing phone calls and paper trails. She exaggerates and jumps to conclusions completely over stepping. She uses intimidation tactics. She even lied to another parent about my child not knowing the parent is my neighbor and friend. The parent contacted me immediately and said, “I think they are trying to railroad your son.” My son is 7. At that point I pulled my son from the school to homeschool because I felt his safety was at risk. His self confidence was being effected. Bullies is a good word I would give to the principal and assistant principal. What the sad part is the teachers are AMAZING! The leadership needs to be changed and I think Arcado could be great, again!

The teachers and staff have really been loving and welcoming since day 1! They make my son feel valued and understood. In turn, he is thriving at Arcado! This school is all about helping and building your child up to where they can be happy and successful. A totally different environment from the nearby elementary school that unfortunately puts more emphasis on their ratings.

A great diverse school in the Lilburn community. All staff are working with a common goal which is to make every student succeed.
