Honestly, I do not recommend this school. First of all, my child would always come home and argue and complain about the school lunch tasting absolutely disgusting. She explains that the food is plain, dry, and cold. Sometimes she gets sick from it. Teachers don't seem to try their best at teaching or care about the students. They just explain, yell at them and make them stare at a computer for hours and hours. Most of the learning doesn't seem fun at all. And also my daughter would always come home crying because of how the students treated her. I'm very disappointed.

I really like the school. The leadership and staff seem to truly care about the kids. I feel like my kid is learning a lot and is receiving an education in-line with other middle schools with higher ratings. It also gives him a very diverse experience. I was originally nervous about my kid attending here, but he loves being here, and has made some really good friends. There are some behavioral issues that need to be addressed, but other than that, I am pleased.

My son has been attending since January. The administration does not know how to handle the bullying that goes on. My child's Father and I have gone to the school to address the situation. The administrators keep telling us that he needs to ignore them and to report the incidents when the children bully him. But when he does, some of the teachers says they did not see anything or instead blame him for the situation. The bullies pick on children in a sneaky way so the teachers do not notice. They tell them they will beat them up if they talk.It is sad that the administrators do not tske care of the children who are trouble makers instead expect the children being bullied to take it and ignore it.

My child is a special needs child and we have never had any issues with the schools he has attended. We are trying desperately to move him out of this school. At least two of the the leadership care about what happens to the students however the principal and other leadership have tied their hands from doing what's right for all the students. The leadership are very rude and disrespectful, especially to any parent that is involved with their child's education. Until the leadership is changed I do not recommend you send your child here.

My sons went to this school for half a year, because I could not take how bad thus school was. I seen most Parents who are the kids out of school to homeschool instead of send them to the school . I chose to move and I send my kids to Berkmar which is equally bad I just believe all schools and Lilburn is bad.

Lilburn overall is pretty much an average school. Sometimes you'll get amazing teachers, and other times you won't get so lucky. However, when I say some teachers are amazing, they really are. They care about students and will go to the utmost ends to help a student out, and I truly appreciate teachers like that. However, others won't even take a second glance at you, so it's a really a hit or miss. The assistant principals as well are unnecessarily mean, and I have had many encounters where they were absolutely rude and unbearable. And this is coming from a student with no behavioral issues. The student population is all Hispanic, and so if you happen to be any other race, expect to hear racist remarks at least a few times. But overall, this is an average school and I don't regret coming here. You get a nice education and every school has its problems. I definitely will miss it next year when I'll be starting high school.

when a students goes to the grade office to report something the people in charge of the grade level didn't do anything to solve the problems that their students are having.they let the problems getting bigger and wait to the last minute to fix the problem. they will turn the thing around so the students will be wrong and go to panel hearing. they think that at the end of the day they are hero but they are not they like to ruin the students learning path in life. instead of helping a students with a problems they will say that they will help but they don't . they say that they want the best for there students,that by taking them and there parents to a panel hearing is the best idea when all of the problems could of been solved with the panel hearing. by sending them to the panel hearing is cutting of their wings of leaning. they will make the appointment for the panel hearing a week after the expelled and they miss classes.they are a bad school and i suggest not to send your kids there. they will ruin the learning path of your students

I am an eighth-grade student at Trickum Middle school, and I do not like this school. Since sixth grade, I have had teachers and students make fun of me. I here really bad curse words every day being shouted in the hallway, cafeteria, classrooms, and various locations. The school food is terrible, so I rarely eat lunch at school. Trickum honestly is awful, please do not send your children here if you know what is good for them. All the staff sees you as is a test score, And they do not care about your child's well-being.

This school is terrible. The amount of control the school puts on the students is abnormal because there is an excessive amount of rules. First of all, to go to the restroom, you have to get a teacher to sign your agenda, you have to fill out the sign out sheet in the classroom, go to the academy/office and fill out the sign out sheet there too. Then, you can finally go to the restroom, but when you're finished, you can't go back to your class. You have to go back to the office and log in the time you came back and get the office clerk to sign your agenda to go back to class. Isn't that a lengthy process just for an everyday occurrence? Also, the teachers walk you practically everywhere! They walk you to lunch, the restroom (the whole class has to walk to the restroom together), and to each class. Furthermore, the school's students are also a cause to condition the school is in. They're loud, rowdy, immature, and unsanitary. The students throw trash in the desks and all over the classroom. All in all, this isn't the best school in Gwinnett.

This school had improved after mr.richie came to this school the writing scores came up very high and alot of people didn't fail, the crct scores went up too cause the teachers actually care about the students example Ms.Furtney, Ms.Bacon , Mr.RIchie & other teacher do too

Parents, if you care about your child's education and overall well-being, it is best to avoid bringing your child here. I taught at this school, so I know what really goes on. The problem is not the teachers, which some are very qualified and knowledgeable, but the administration. The hiring of the latest top administrator for school year 12-13 dramatically worsened the school. There was a total of 22 teachers who resigned, including myself, because we could not take the abuse by the administrators. The morale is extremely low among the staff, and as a teacher, we are not allowed to voice our concerns, ideas, or opinions. Mistreatment usually follows if we do. LMS has a predominantly Hispanic population, but administration does little to help that demographic, and a times belittles those students. Many students pass on to the next grade, but should really be held back. The administrators coerce teachers to make sure students do not fail. Take a look at some of the student's reviews below and judge for yourself how a student in middle school is writing (misspellings, grammar, punctuation). A restructuring of the administration is needed to improve the school.

I am withdrawing my two daughters from this school. They have been there for 3 months and they complain every other day. I went up to the school on several occasions and they refused to speak with me. They finally set up a meeting with the administration and we are still experiencing incident after incident. My daughter has made three incident reports; enough is enough. I would like to report what those incidents were but out of protection of my daughter I wont disclose it here. The school is full of teachers that do not care and students that are unruly and disrespectful. There is a lot of inappropriate behavior that goes on daily with these kids and teachers do nothing!!!
