This is my daughter's 2nd year attending and it has been a great experience so far. She always comes home and tells me what she's learned and is excited to show me.

My children went here in the 80's-90's and now my grandchildren do. Mountain Park has always had a special warmth and spirit about it. I've never met a teacher there whom I did not appreciate. Brian Walker is a wonderful principal who makes school more fun for the teachers and students.

Awesome school, faculty engagement with parents and students is great. Relocated family to district specifically for this school!

For the first time in her scholastic career our daughter actually *loves* her school. The teachers we've met are bright, articulate, warm and friendly. The parents we've met are very involved. The children we've seen seem very happy and well adjusted to school life. An aside ~ This is our first year @ Mountain Park. We selected our new home specifically for this school cluster (Parkview) and we are so glad our elementary school is Mountain Park.

The administrators and front office staff are simply rude. They stand in the front hallway in a circle the morning and gossip. When I pick up my child I am asked to present an ID (every person picking up should be), others just simply walk in and pick up there child. This school also appears to be anti- parent. Parents are not allowed to walk-in to drop kids off or pick them up. They are not allowed to walk students to class after the first day of school and they are not allowed to come for birthday celebrations. At lunch visitors sit at a seperate table away from everyone else with the child they are visiting. There are also no written policies, after school program or clubs. Very disappointing. 76% of households in the school feeder zone do not send students there. Now we know why!

My daughter just completed kindergarten here for the 2016-1017 school year. Her teacher was "ok" but she's learned a lot and ready to move on to 1st grade.

Concerned parent,I rently learned that teacher can be bullies too. If your child has any sort of disabilities they will quickly sweep it under the rug . It also goes higher then the teacher. Their tactics are to isolate to single out the child in front of other students to humiliate in the hopes of scareing them into subumission. My child became sick and depressed and stop eating from this so called protocols.... so if you think the children are the bullies think again.. I could go into details but I will stop here. Ask that parents be your child's advocate until they are able to do stand up for themselves. I have taking my child out of this school and is doing great! My child is learning on a much higher level now and is backed to self sweet and happy. Make sure that the school you send your children to is really about the childrens best interest and not just about the schools image winning awards.

Mountain Park is a wonderful school, and for the most part, we have had a great experience. While no school is perfect, this school does it's very best for the children there. It's small (which I love), and that often works against the school in terms of funding, number of teachers, etc, but the quality of the teachers at the school is really amazing. They do the best with what they have and what they get. The administration seems to listen to concerns and work to correct grade level difficiencies to get the right team in place. My only issues with our school really have nothing to do with the school itself but the policies of the county, including the amount of standardized testing and how they determine staffing. With eight years combined between two kids, we've never had a bad teacher. Sure, there are some stronger than others, but we have had some amazing teachers that also care about the success of my kids, both inside th class and out.

This is our first year at Mountain Park Elementary and as an educator, this is my first year having a student in elementary school. This has truly been an amazing experience. I must say that my initial viewing of MPES Great school score of 7, troubled me, but what I've come to discover is that my child's teacher cares about her success and that is what I expect. MPES is a safe and welcoming environment and I enjoy sending my little one to school everyday. I know that her education will be a quality education and I know that she will be challenged and that makes me a happy mama! I support MPES and I recommend this community based and involved school to any student and family in the area.

I love Mountain Park Elementary School in Lilburn, GA because Ms. Williams is an amazing teacher! She had my son for two years and he excelled in her class. The teachers and staff truly care for our children and want them to be successful. Our school has a great community feel, lots of parents are involved and the staff is always smiling and energetic. I am grateful to be a part of the MPES community.

I love this school! The principal, Dr. Gee, is always out and about interacting with the students, teachers and parents. He allows the teachers to teach in whatever manner works for them and their class, that makes for happy teachers who are willing wanting to teach my kids.

My child went to MPES K-3rd grade before he was labeled as having a behavior/emotional disorder. He was transferred to another school in the cluster and after 1 1/2 months, he's back in regular ed classes. MPES wasn't able to give him the necessary tools to get him back on track. Also when I would go to the school, I felt like a stranger although I volunteered at numerous PTA events. There are "clicks" at the school. Mrs. Beard is the only teacher that I felt was patient enough to take the time and give my child the necessary guidance.

My oldest just started Kindergarten this year and so far I've been impressed with how much she's learned, how happy she is to learn and the organization of the school.

We were questioning our decision to enroll our kids in MPE because of the rating but we decided to anyway and have been thrilled with the outcome. The small class sizes and less strict atmosphere has helped my children excel because now they LIKE to go to school. They were unhappy where they attended prior to MPE and when I asked my 4th Grader why she was getting good grades consistently now verses some of the time at her old school she said, "Because I'm allowed to have fun!". They still do well on all the standardized test scores, too so it's a win-win for us.
