I am VERY impressed with Chatfield School. I wish they went all the way to 12th grade. I feel safe sending my kids here. They get extra support if they need it. The teachers are great. Everyone is great! I love it at Chatfield!!!

The Chatfield School is an incredible place. I am currently an 8th grade student at Chatfield which means that I am in my 9th and last year of this amazing journey. It began in Kindergarten, and the learning experiences I have picked up will last a lifetime. The outstanding atmosphere starts with the teachers. Due to the incredibly kind and caring teachers, there is not a single bully in the school. The teachers' enthusiasm towards getting along, being kind, and following "The Golden Rule", influences each and every hard-working student. Secondly: the Explorations, Fine Arts, and After-School programs. Chatfield offers over 50 different course options for elective classes. My personal favorites include: Crime Scene Investigation, Egology with Michigan teaching celebrity Peter McCreedy, Woods and Metal, Cooking, and Band. Lastly: the Chatfield staff. Every staff member carries a passion for creating the best learning environment. It is contagious, and spreads to the students. I love Chatfield and wish I could attend for many more years to come.

Chatfield is outstanding when it comes to staff cooperation for making sure that students have the best educational experience possible. Chatfield also offers one of the best environmental programs for all of its K-8 students.

My four children have been at this school for five years. It offers an excellent academic, hands-on learning experience. They also offer an excellent music and arts program, including Honors Art , Jam Band, Dance, Symphony Band (which received highest ratings at recent Charter school competition), & Choir.

I have had a daughter in ths school for the last 6 years, my only regret is not getting her older brother into the school! This place is amazing! By far the best school in the county, and ranked in the top of the entire state! Just visit the school and you will see the amazing/interesting facility, and the passion that these teachers give their students. I give them a A+.

Chatfield School is amazing--like a cross between a school and a Scouting program. As the parent of 3 kids who attended 3 districts and 2 charter schools, Chatfield is the best school we've found. The teachers are phenomenal; they did a great job caring for each child and provided top-notch education. Class choices even included German and facilities were 1st rate--a solar environmental center built of bales (1st code-approved public building of this type construction in the state), wind turbine, outdoor classroom, a bark structure, mud oven and school-owned canoes and snowshoes. Students grow and raise produce in a school garden and sell it at a mini-farm market set up at the school. They even made their own salsa, and fished with hooks they made from bone. Only problem was a hard-core running coach lady who screamed at parents, but I appreciated at least they had another teacher in the running club the next year. Problems will inevitably arise--it's how a school responds that shows its true colors. I now work in an education program; our teachers apply for grants just to have their kids visit Peter McCreedy's environmental program at Chatfield. Hope my grandson goes there!

I am a second year parent at this school. My child seems to have learned a lot even in this different setting. How ever I do agree with some post about the teachers communication skills with parents directly one molment then they tell you to talk to the assistance then when you refer back they don't know what you are talking about. I have major Issues directly dealing with the Concerns of how they deal with the students with Food allergies. Why is it so hard for them to understand Allergic and EpiPen means life or death. Yes it needs to be with them at all times. Please take the time to educate the staff and a bonus the students about the seriousness of Epipen.

I have a few complaints about chatfield first no bus. And there are few walls litterly they have curtins.our school has a promethin board. and they still have white boards and there gym is very small. This is kind of a poor school and one last thing at 8th grade you have to find a new school and fit in there and start all over. LakeVille Middle School is the school for me
