I love BKS. My siblings and I all went to BKS. We are all very successful and faith filled adults. Now my little girl attends BKS and I couldn't be happier. They have a secure, Godly, high education environment.

Bishop Kelley Catholic School is a great place to send your child. It has a fun loving faith based environment. High academic standards and morally structured. Principal G. Willoughby goes above and beyond, always having the best interests of the students put first. He has implemented many new and exciting technologies benefiting both faculty and students. Communications between teachers, parents and students are excellent. Safety is always paramount. He personally greets the student body outdoors daily before and after school. Fr. Hurley brings with him a wealth of knowledge through experience of Catholic School Administration. He is Spiritual Pillar, leader for the School and Parish. You can’t ask for a better close knit family environment where everyone knows each other and has your child’s best interest at heart. Tuition is very reasonable and assistance is available. This School teaches morals respect and gives a child all the tools to exceed in life.

I am very happy to be sending my daughter back to Bishop Kelley for this up coming school year. She will be in first grade. As a graduate from this school, I have always appreciated the small class sizes and close relationship between the staff and students. I know my daughter will get the individualized attention she needs to develop and grow as a student. I believe this school is well worth the tuition cost we pay for her to attend. Even my husband, who attended public schools, has noticed the difference between public and private school education. This is a great school and my daughter gets up everyday ready to go to school.

This is a wonderful school with a loving family atmosphere and high acedemic achievement. The children and staff at Bishop Kelley are both very high over the bar. I have my third child starting here next year and could not be happier. The cost of sending your children here is nothing compared to the academic success that they achieve once they leave. We love Bishop Kelley!

Clearly there is a problem with this schools academics. Look at the previous post. Bad grammar and no punctuation. We just left this school due to the poor teaching. There are a few great teachers at BKCS. The bad teachers out way the good. Parents are very judge mental and snobby. Much happier in Lapeer public schools.

Community of Lapeer wake up! The future of our kids is a stake! Does our superintendent and schoolboard know what they are doing? Our 35 year old superintendents goal to combine Lapeer East and West, creating a high school containing well over 2000 kids. The Ideal Size High School by /Valerie E. Lee a professor of education at the University of Michigan says most effective high schools have 600 to 900 students. Students learned more in these schools and less in larger schools. We felt that high schools with 600 to 900 students were large enough to offer a full and solid curriculum, but small enough so students were known well by their teachers and didn t get lost in the cracks. These findings should be a consideration for districts that consolidate schools for budget reasons, particularly because the expected savings of operating fewer schools in many cases (given higher transportation costs, and the need for a denser administrative staff in the large school, for example) may not fully materialize. The major cost of operating schools is staff. Consolidating two schools into one would probably not result in staff reductions or savings and lesson the educational value.
