The best school my children have attended by far. Amazing teachers who go above and beyond their call of duty. Principal is amazing and is outside everyday rain, shine, snow, you name it ...hes out there greeting students by name, directing traffic, saying good morning to parents. Very involved in everything and that's the way it should be. School does alot to bring the community together.

We recently moved from out of state and I can 100% say that this is the best school my children have ever gone to. I can spend all day talking about how amazing the principal and teachers are.

This school is great!! Teachers and staff genuinely care about every individual student there! Foothills is our neighborhood school and all three of our children benefited from the amazing staff and diverse student population. They had a great academic experience while making lifelong friends. I strongly encourage families to visit this school and see first hand the hardworking staff and students. Their test scores have gone up and their leadership is apparent! Students are happy and they absolutely love their principal, teachers and school!

Both as a parent of a student who moved to Colorado and was treated well at Foothills, going on to graduate from GMHS, working now in an American embassy...... and also as a former special educator at Foothills, the staff and curriculum are excellent.

Both my sons attended Foothills Elementary. They had motivating teachers that were professional, with excellent content knowledge. They used mulitple strategies to reach each student and were caring and nurturing. This provided our children with a strong foundation in their educational career. Thank you Foothills!

We moved to JeffCo mid year, from one of the nations largest and highest ranked school districts in the country (Fairfax County, VA). I was a scared parent, moving across the country and knowing zero about Jefferson County or Foothills ES. I was definitely put off by the great schools rating. However, our experience thus far has been nothing but positive. Our child’s teacher is excellent, and the school offers exactly what we were looking for: a genuine community. The staff have been so welcoming and helpful. I never worry about my child during the day. She comes home happy about her day and talking positively about her teachers and friends. She has made strides in reading and phonics and most of all, she is comfortable at school and has a smile in her face each day we pick her up. The before and after care programs have been a positive experience as well, and staff have been so helpful with us coming in mid-year. I’m sad to see Foothills get lower scores that would potentially turn great kids and families away from attending. We’ve been happy here and I would encourage local families to stay and get involved- I have no doubt you’ll love the school environment and teachers.

My son has went to school there for 4 years. He has thrived there. They have made it so that he loves school. He has liked everyone of his teachers The teachers and the staff have always been great to me. I have really had no complaints.

I have had two children in this school from roughly 2003 through 2008 and now again starting in 2014. My experience in this school has been horrible both times. The principal this time lies and contradicts herself - and attempts to blame the staff for things that she herself should be responsible for.

Foothills does amazing community out-reach. They just hosted an event for a new baseball field so the kids can play.

Best advise... Take your Child to Hutchinson just over Green Mountain. Much better atmosphere for your child to learn in....

Teachers manhandle the kids to where they leave bruises on them. Principle does nothing about it. Students are completely out of control and needs new staff.

I bring my daughter to school every day. The is out there and greets students and parents almost every day. I have been in most award ceremonies which were always led by the principal. I have never seen a more visible principal and am bemused about the previous review.

The staff at Foothills is amazing; I have watched my child, and now my grandchildren bloom! Dedicated and caring. Wouldn't think of moving!
