The 22-23 school year was great. Our daughter was so excited to go back and the 23-24 year has been an absolute flop. As a parent I feel so incredibly disconnected with my child's school. They say it's to make things safer but it makes parents feel completely unaware of their child's environment. Since school began this they have taken complete liberties with release procedures changing them multiple times with NO NOTICE. Today our children were released 15 minutes later than normal with zero explanation. I am disgusted with how Principal Dipalma has been completely absent outside of her weekly pre fabricated emails that completely lack any sort of explanation for her constantly changing procedures. They are hiding behind 'district policy' and keeping parents in the dark. Shame.

This school is bad honestly like it's so bad like there's so much drama here the teachers are so strict they gossip about everything I like the kids are so rude like if I was you I would not recommend my kid going here. Do not recommend to tobias Elementary school

I think they are doing a great job by instilling some strong values early on that parents can build on. I dont see much parent/community involvement as I did at our previous school and I think the kids could use more recess time instead of the allocated 15min at the Kinder level. Overall the teachers are receptive, warm and I have seen a dedication to improving and creating avid learners.

This was our first full school year at Tobias and we couldn't be happier! Between my 2 daughters, this is our 4th school and most definitely our favorite although we didn't have any major issues with the others.Great teachers, a fantastic Principal, involved parents and (finally) small class sizes are just a few of the things we love.The facilities are top notch and everyone who works here clearly loves their jobs and loves children; it feels like a big family here.The SEL program they use, the 7 Mindsets, is a fantastic yet simple system that really instills values and character into the kids and in a way that permeates their whole lives and not just their academic work.Can't say enough good things and I'm so happy we switched to Tobias! I'll sleep better at night too knowing the kids coming out of here will be tomorrow's leaders and thinkers.

We love Tobias Elementary! Our children never want to miss a day of school. I am so grateful to the staff at Tobias for teaching my kids.

We are so glad that our kids attend Tobias Elementary. This school is like our second family. I'm happy about how the kids are disciplined and taught. Everyone is so nice and the kids are very well behaved and respectful.

My daughter has definitely expressed how much she enjoys being part of the choir in her school. She always has wonderful things to say about her music teacher. My daughter says ," his humor is contagious." The staff and teachers are wonderful

I work in the district and I have had the privilege of being on many different campuses in Hays. I absolutely LOVE everything about Tobias Elementary. The administrators are not only loving and sweet to the students and staff, but everything they do is with the child in mind. They provide amazing staff development so that their teachers can give top notch instruction for the students. They work hard to plan parent-student events, so that you, as a parent, will be aware and excited about everything that's going on at your child's school. Tobias isn't just a school, it's a community committed to providing the best education out there for your child. It has been nothing shy of a blessing that I have been placed at this campus and I am thankful for their open arms and open hearts!

I am so proud to be a parent at Tobias Elementary! The staff and leadership at the school are beyond what we expected based on some reviews. The principal and teachers promote an excellent education, as well as leadership, responsibility, integrity and creativity in the students. The teachers and principals have always been available to listen and address any concerns about my daughter's education and well being. There are many coveted schools in the district, and Tobias should definitely be at the top of that list!

Very disappointed in this school. We had family members that had attended and enjoyed it. We spent my daughter's second grade year here. Her teacher was rude and did not make us feel welcome. My daughter said all she did was yell at the class. When I tried to talk to the teacher teacher she said, I shouldn't be so involved in my child's education. I wish I had pulled my daughter or of the school sooner. I could go on about other problems, but biggest advice, don't go there. Thankfully we were just renting and could move out of the district.

Tobias is an excellent school that takes care of kids. The staff works hard to ensure educational success of every student. The school is a leader in PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) implementation. The school offers extra-curricular after school clubs and recognizes the positive contributions of students. Every teacher participates in a professional learning community, continuously learning and growing to help all students.

Both of my boys attend Tobias Elementary and I love the teachers at this school. One of my children has been in the special education program since kinder and the teachers are amazing and work really hard with the kids to keep them on track and go above and beyond.

My daughter has attended Tobias Elementary School since Kindergarten and is a 5th grader this year. This is her last year at Tobias. Out of all the years, other than her Kindergarten year at Tobias this has been the best, by far, year she has ever had. I have loved this campus and love the new Principal Ms. Collier. She has given the students opportunities to grow and excel by letting them Explore beyond the campus. Thank you Ms. Collier for truly putting the meaning back into the name of Tobias the "Explorers" because that is what they have truly been this year. My daughter loved Camp Champion! GREAT campus if you are looking for one that truly cares about your child's future success.
