AS a parent and training observer I found the staff to be highly qualified in this era of leadership and essence. The personal observation and touch to the attending students is outstanding to the point where it brings me back to my own educational esperience back in1969 where the devotion stood out beginning with the Principal's wholehearted attention to all students for each grade. Knowing the students makes a big difference and this is what I saw. I only wish I had devoted myself to my own education because the devotion of the teachers is at Leyman. Yes, some students may feel being yelled at but at this age listening isn't a big teenager skill. To see the teacher's admiration towards their students is admirable all the way around. It takes collaboration , skill and admiration to get a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly job done and this school has it. When I saw the scholarship funds at last years graduation I saw the dedication from all the STAFF's input into this process. Leyman received the highest funds in Scholarships for their students. Who would want to go anywhere else? This is an indication that all you need to do at this school is TRY. The support of the parents is wonderful too. I see them at UIL's, games, etc. and best of all I admire the student and parents excellent and admirable focus on what they do. Their time and effort is commendable in every supporting way. The Principal is there and everywhere. You can see the LOVE for her students. It's not a Mother to Child relationship here; its a person to personable touch. The desire of wanting her students to be successful. If you ask the Principal for help, she helps you anyway she can. I've seen it and I admire it. To hear a student who joins the Armed Serivices comes back to see her and to hear students sound her name is admirable. The ROTC is great and I especially love this program to Veterans. The Band is so dedicated and the parents are all supportive. May it be Mariachi, the Plays, basketball, the weight lifting, the Mechanic Team, All the extra curricular activities are fun and there she is again... The Principal. What a devoted inspirational Source at this School. I congratulate the entire School. They may not always win a game but they love what they do. So if there is a student out there wanting to succeed...see a teacher, a counselor and know that your Principal is there for you. All you have to do is ASK.

Horrible. They dont do anything about the things that need something done. Bullying, drugs, etc

My experience at this school has been completely disgusting. The people who are supposed to be our role models scream at students like jail wardens and threaten people with ISS over the smallest things. Then they demand respect while telling us that our bra straps are showing or that we can only walk a certain way down a hallway. I will gladly never come back after graduation. The handful of staff members that students trust is not enough considering the hundreds of people who work there. But we are grateful for them: Mr. Munoz, Mrs. Martinez, and Ms. Contreras

The attendance office at this school are idiots. Sorry, but it has to be said. They don't excuse all medical notes, and make inconsistent decisions on absences. Can't wait until we do not have to deal with them anymore.

You'll notice the former students (in recent years) writing reviews spell like they're in first grade, and that perfectly represents the education at LHS. There are about ten staff members that actually have any worth. After my junior year, 40 teachers quit. Yes, it's really affordable to live in Kyle, but if you want your child to make good use of their time at school then send them somewhere else. They can either go to regular classes and basically get a grade for showing up, or take AP classes and be so overloaded with work that they don't have time for anything else. The teachers will say they care about the students, but I can count the number of teachers who actually push their students to be better on one hand. Not the place to raise your family.

The teachers at Lehman have been so great to my exchange student. The only problems we are CONSTANTLY running into is the attendance office. They are not the smartest of the bunch in that office I have come to notice. No matter if you call to report your students sick and not attending or send in a note regarding a doctors appointment these people will ALWAYS have it wrong and that they are not at school!! I have never been more irritated by a school and have it to be nothing to do with the teachers. I wish I could get her into a school that's better than Lehman.
