Very hands on and caring staff does great work with my kindergarten son. He truly loves going to school every day and getting to say hi to all the staff.

as a student going here, id say its okay. and im not just saying this because i was a student but because students are reading this; food is bad dont eat = food poising ok bye

I believe Lewis is a fantastic school it is diverse among the students that go there. The teachers and staff are engaged at the school and take pride. The culture appears to conducive to learning no bullying that I noticed when visiting there. Most important based on statistics children are learning here and it is not a daycare where teachers don’t care and come just to get paid

What a gem we've found! Our daughter is in kindergarten and has the most wonderful teachers of all time, each of which deeply care for our child and all the others in their class. They've kept the kids engaged throughout the nightmare that is Coronavirus. Prior to the epidemic, going to school was fun for our daughter. She loved each of the classes she had, enjoyed her classmates, and loved her teachers.We received a tour prior to the first day where we walked around and met all of the teachers who were getting ready for school to start - you could just feel the excitement and passion they had for the job! It's a small school, which we love, as each kid is made to feel special and important. The reasonable class sizes also make managing learning differences much easier on the teachers. I can't wait for all three of my kids to have the experience of going to Lewis!

Lewis Elementary School is proving to be an outstanding school. My child is very happy there and looks forward to going to school everyday. Everyone employed there seems to genuinely care about her as a person, her academic progress, her safety thus making her want to go to school...even when school is out! This is both of my boys first year here and we love it. I have one in 4th and one in K. The staff are all kind, welcoming, and friendly. The curriculum is challenging and I am very pleased with the progress my children have had. Any issues I have ever brought up have been addressed immediately. I would definitely recommend this school.

Lewis Elementary is the most welcoming school. The entire staff are amazing. I cannot say enough about this school and the impact it is making on the lives of the children and their families.

When my child started Lewis it seemed to be a nice learning environment with supportive staff and teachers. All of that is probably true if you never speak up about any concern or issue. No matter how tactfully you present issue, the staff will either ignore the issue unless you bring it up time and time again and then they will be very rude each time they see you. I am appalled and very disappointed with the lack of professionalism I have experienced from the administration. I am convinced the other 5 star reviews are mostly from the staff. My child will be attending a different Cobb County school next year.

Lewis Elementary is EXCELLENT!! All 3 of my kids have attended Lewis and this is my 10th consecutive year having a child at Lewis. My oldest is now in 11th grade and is in AP and honors courses. My middle child is now in Middle school in all Advanced Curricular classes, and my youngest is still attending Lewis in his 2nd grade year. My kids have received the best education and foundation for future academic success from their years at Lewis. Lewis has been an extremely positive academic and socially enriching experience for our children. Parent involvement is welcomed and encouraged. The staff at Lewis is most impressive and outstanding. I highly recommend Lewis Elementary!

I cant say enough GREAT things about this school! My son transferred from another school to Lewis this year and we are overjoyed with our experience so far. Not many schools feel like a family or like home but this school radiates both. Way to Go LEWIS you make family's comfortable and makes this mom HAPPY!!!!

Principal, counselors and admin will single out certain children and victimize them, constantly blowing small things out of proportion. They do not know how to handle any behavior problem a child may have at school appropriately. They called the cops on a 6 year old last year and had the child handcuffed because they didn't know how to control her. Move into a zone with any other school close by and avoid Lewis at all costs.

Lewis teachers are warm and caring. My children love this school and as a parent I am very pleased. You get access into the school only one way and must sign in. I feel like this makes the school very safe. They have a Watchdog program that my husband participates in. Very pleased with the staff.

I love Lewis. The staff is very attentive and caring toward the children. There are great clubs and activities for kids to be involved in. Everyone there, even administration, knows my kids by name.

My daughter starts 2nd grade and her second year in gifted. My son will be starting 3rd grade this fall, 2013/14. We love Lewis and feel at home with staff and teachers. Lewis is the ideal learning environment for my children. Excellent interaction with school staff- school is always clean and organized; staff is very involved, caring and professional, leading by example with a positive attitude.

I am very pleased with the education my children are receiving at this school. The class size is smaller compared to the state average, and the teachers are a good fit for my children.
