Good school for accelerated learners transitioning from homeschool, who can't afford private school, and desire to attend Hillsdale. They don't provide support services for remediation, intervention, test prep, special needs, or english learners. I dare say they only accept these types of students so they can receive state funding. Not ideal for students older than 3rd grade who are social and used to public school. Very restrictive and only parents who are stakeholders and buy into the hillsdale way will be heard. Definitely out of compliance and does not teach GA standards as they do not believe in tests, grades, or even data to drive instruction. So, what does a graduating senior from this school put on his college app since he was never allowed to use a computer in this school as they dont believe in using devices or even teaching typing? Teachers at this school are dictated and pressed to label kids. Most are parents of students. Not sure how this school has not been audited by the scsc yet.

Our experience with Northwest Classical Academy (NCA) has been deeply disappointing, particularly regarding their treatment of special needs students. As parents who have supported this school both financially and through active involvement, it is heartbreaking to witness how the administration handles special education. We enrolled our child at NCA believing they would receive the support and care they need. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. We’ve observed troubling patterns, including inconsistent adherence to policies that seem to change without notice, especially when it suits the administration. Despite our best efforts to work with the school, we encountered resistance and even hostility when advocating for our child’s needs. The communication from the school has been accusatory and dismissive, making us feel more like adversaries than partners in our child’s education. This environment of intimidation and the school’s reluctance to adhere to our child's IEP left us no choice but to withdraw our child for their well-being.Parents of children with special needs should proceed with caution when considering NCA. While the school may present itself as supportive, our experience suggests otherwise. If your child requires any form of special education support, you may want to explore other options where their needs will be genuinely prioritized and met.

I’ve gone to NCA since it started in 2021 as a sixth grader. This school has terrific teachers in the upper school (7th-12th) who relate well with the students. They seem to genuinely care about each student. There’s an excellent curriculum from Hillsdale college. There’s very little bullying in this tight knit community. My complaints would be that technology is prohibited. You can’t have phones out on campus which has it pros and cons. Uniforms are required. There is no duel enrollment for high school and few AP classes.
