The administration is top notch, the staff is friendly, and the teachers are creative, pro-active, and interested in the individual students. My younger two will be joining my oldest there, and I am so excited to watch them blossom at Due West.

The staff is wonderful and very helpful. This is my son's last year there, we are sad, but happy that our experience was wonderful. We love his fifth grade teacher. Great school!!

We absolutely love Due West! The school is small and has the feel of a tight-knit community, because it is just that - I love that my child knows almost everyone in her grade since there are so few classes at each level and they interact a lot with the other classes. The academics are strong but delivered in a way that really makes learning fun for the kids. Also, communication from administrators and teachers to the parents is constant so you always know what is going on and what events are coming up. We are so lucky we ended up in this school!

We LOVE Due West! We have been here for over two years and my children are absolutely thriving! Due West provides a nurturing and loving environment as well as an excellent academic program. All of the teachers they have had have been top notch. I know that they will be successful in middle school due to the solid foundation they are receiving at DWE. It is a wonderful school community with high parent involvement. Five stars!!!

Due West is a small school. Because of that, there is a great community and lots of attention for each student. Also great communication from each of the teachers our kids have had.

This is our second year at DW. Last year was terrible. We had a new teacher who was completely disorganized and we never knew what was going on. This year has been no better no matter how optimistic we were. So far we are not impressed at all. I wish I could get in to details but I really would prefer to stay anonymous as I do want any other reason for rude treatment at this school. The front office staff is rude. Well, 2/3 of them anyway. My children even say they don't smile in the front office. Kids see things most adults overlook. Anyhow, this school has not impressed us in any way other than the 'specials' teachers, all of which are fantastic. It's too bad. Elementary school should not have to be this hard to run. My children should be wanting to go to school and instead they fight us every day.

The quality of the leadership and teaching at this school are amazing. Parental involvement is some of the highest I've ever seen. Love the smaller community feel. No wonder so many do whatever they can to have their children at Due West.

There is honestly nothing special about Due West. Our current teacher this year is so unorganized and scattered it is frustrating! When speaking she doesn't think, is often rude, and has to be asked and emailed numerous times before getting a response. The other parents think of it as "private school ", but it is just an average elementary school. Perhaps we will get a teacher that has time for our child's learning difficulties and not one that is only able to relate and praise the students who "get it" right away. Truly hoping our Due West experience gets better and it is just our current teacher that has put a negative taste in our mouth.

The energy and enthusiasm for learning the teachers exude is contagious. You only have to witness the smiles of children as they walk around the campus to be convinced of the environment of Due West. The Security concern for the precious lives of loved ones is comforting. Is there room for improvement? Always, but Due West is always closer to the Pinnacle of Success than other schools.

We love Due West and have been there many, many years. The teachers are great and the activities fun for the kids and families. My only concern is that since the district now allows teachers' kids to attend any Cobb County school even if it isn't a feeder school where they work, our school is becoming increasingly overcrowded. Our principal needs to consider the kids actually districted for Due West and stop stuffing our school. Say no! There are over 75 Cobb County employee students in our school that can only hold so many. I am all for Due West teachers sending their kids to Due West...it only makes sense. All the others need to move into the district or choose the school or feeder school where they work.

Excellent School! Wonderful Teachers and Staff! Exceptional PTA Volunteers! My child loves DWE - Thank you!

I love this school. The teachers are awesome. The kids support each other, and administration is truly concerned about each child's progress. I have one negative thing to say... Watch out for the PTA. They waste money on frivolous projects (see walking track) and took away the funding from the traditional field to get their project done.

While the community surrounding Due West is growing the teachers and staff at Due West keep that tight knit community feeling within its walls. The teachers care about every one of the students at Due West and this is evident by walking the halls with my child, teachers that don't have a direct "role" in my child's day know them and acknowledge them. As a Due West Alumni I have and will bend over backwards to keep my children in THIS district. My daughter came to Due West in 2nd grade after completing 1st in another county. The teacher there never informed me she was behind or lacking in reading. Not only did her teacher pick up on it immediately but the whole team went into action to work WITH my daughter and brought her to grade level. I feel like every effort was made by every staff member involved and delivered with love as if it were their own child.

This school was TERRIBLE!!!!!! We moved into the district for 4th and 5th grade. Her 5th grade class did two book reports and one "major" project. None of these items were ever graded and when the teacher was consulted she said "she didn't have time to grade them!" What kind of a pathetic excuse is that!!! The students are not required to keep up with their reading and are not actually assessed until the end of the school year. I would never recommend this school! If you want a good elementary school, go to Still Elementary!!! It is about five minutes from Due West...
