The school is wonderfully diverse (socioeconomically, racially, and culturally). There isn't any cookie cutter looking kids. It's a one of a kind school that embraces the differences.

Amazing school that values diversity, teaches all of the kids the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and all 5th graders will learn to play guitar! Teachers are top-notch and this reflects from the top down. The Principals and Leadership at this school are the most genuine and caring individuals I know! They volunteer in the community and go above and beyond that which would ever be required of them. The PTA is not your typical "click-ish" moms group, which is really nice! LOVE THIS SCHOOL!

This is our first year at Pinchbeck and the teachers and parents have been a great community. I have heard the school described many times as "diverse" and while I agree that there is a range of backgrounds (both cultural and socioeconomic) there also seems to be strong engagement from the PTA, parents, teachers and the students themselves to provide a solid education and social awareness as well as build accountability. The focus on the "seven habits" as well as the decision to focus less on formalized homework have both seemed to have positive impacts.

Have been nothing but pleased with the quality of education. I have one child in private school and another here - and these teachers and staff are every bit as motivated and caring and competent. Yes, it's a bit bigger and yes, more diverse - but that can be a blessing as well. I am truly impressed with the educational opportunities my son is receiving.

This school is a hidden gem! The teachers, administration, and the wealth of involved parents make this school and amazing place for children to learn and grow. The teachers go above and beyond and truly care about their students.

Well I am currently NOT on the PTA and still have a great review of our school. Sure, it is more culturally diverse than some of the other area schools but that is one of the reasons we love it. I have had 3 children go through Pinchbeck and all received a great education. Caring teachers, extra curricular activities and an awesome PTA are just few of the wonderful things about our school. Even though our previous school was also very good we often felt left out or not included in events. Pinchbeck is very inclusive and the PTA does an amazing job of meeting the needs of the students. All of my children were more than prepared to tackle an advanced Middle school curriculum after "graduating" from Pinchbeck.

Pinchbeck Elementary is a school that you can be proud to send your children. The administration and teachers work so well together to provide an excellent education to all students. We embrace the socioeconomic and ethnic diversity in our school as it replicates the "real world". Our principal is very visible and leads with a calm supportive demeanor. Our campus style school is 50 years old but is going through a significant construction update to be completed in the Spring. Students can participate in SCA, Book Bowl, After School Enrichment, safety patrols, Rays Reaching Out (our community service organization), etc. There is a very active PTA that provides countless hours and financial support for all the children through exciting in-school programs, fun after school events, teacher shopping sprees, yearbook & tutoring programs just to name a few. The current school redistricting is definitely showing the unique bond that our families have to stick together and support one another to preserve Pinchbeck!

Some PTA parents are very bad, they actually care their children only. Please don't trust positive comments for PTA because they're from them !

I have three children attending this school and have been very pleased with 7 of the 8 teachers they have had, plus all of the art/gym/music/library teachers. Even the one I didn't care for as much was still pretty competent. The teachers have always been quick to email me if my child has a problem and have asked me into their classrooms often enough that I have a good feel for how the class is run. Two of my children have medical issues and have regular dealings with the school nurse, OT, Speech, PT and counselor. All of them are very conscientious about helping my children get what they need to do well. The PTA is extremely active and involved, and the school has a lot of diversity that they seem to handle expertly. Lower test scores are reflected in the high number of ESL kids, but they do catch up quickly. Overall, I am pleased with this school and would recommend it to anyone moving into the area.

Pinchbeck was not our school of choice and we were misled when we bought our home on school zoning. Pinchbeck has been disappointing for many reasons. I am not a fan of overcrowded classrooms and teachers who are at work just for a paycheck. We would love to be able to send our child to a private school. The prinicipal would be a better fit as a high school principal, not an elementary principal. He has a very "dry" personality and doesn't work well with parents who have "issues" with teachers or other students. Some of the rules at this school are pointless and have no significance whatsover. If the economy wasn't in such a slump, we would sell our home and move. We are trying to make the best of our childs elementary school years, but it is tough with this school.

We have had both good and bad experiences at Pinchbeck. The teachers are wonderful and very attentive to any problems your child may have. The parent involvement is a wonderful asset, I am part of the PTA and know how much good this program does for the school and the students who attend it. The only issue I have had with this school is the principal, he is not very good about returning phone calls/emails and comes off as defensive and uncaring when dealing with any issues a parent may have.

Pinchbeck is an excellent school! My kids are being challenged, and having fun at the same time. The teachers are extremely interactive, and the PTA is well organized. I'm also very pleased with the cultural diversity of the school, and I believe this adds to the kids' learning experience. Finally, while I'm not on the PTA (I do volunteer work), I can appreciate the hard work that they put forth. I've read a few negative comments on here, and feel that they are unfair. I know many of the PTA families, and they are all genuinely concerned with Pinchbeck's overall success. If you are one of the naysayers, please get involved, and make our school even better.

I have two kids currently attending Pinchbeck and a rising 8th grader. I, too, have been told by Byrd teachers that they recognize Pincbeck kids because they are well prepared and behaved, that says a lot about teachers and parents. I agree with some but not all of the comments made, good and bad. I would like to remind parents that we set the example for our kids. If we are critical, so will they be critical. If we don't handle things in a mature way, neither will they. If we don't get involved the best we can, neither will they. I would love to see the energy that was put into these reviews, both good and bad, be used to pray for the students, teachers and staff of Pinchbeck. I've seen prayer change a lot of things for the better, especially angry hearts.

Pinchbeck is a good school. The teachers work hard to educate the students w/in county and state guidelines. The principal just completed his second year and is striving to make Pinchbeck a safe & fun learning environment. The county has faced budget cuts in recent years. High student/teacher ratios are reflection of lack of funding not poor administration. The PTA plays an active role in supporting educational programs. It does not just fund after school events & evening programs. The PTA pays for supplementary educational programming in the classroom as well as school wide assemblies. I am proud to be a part of the community of Pinchbeck. I am proud that the teachers, administration & parents work together in the best interest of the student body. I am also realistic, we are not perfect. Please join the PTA, volunteer, make a difference, help improve the school, offer more than just complaints.

As a PTA Board member, I know that the Pinchbeck PTA is a vital part of our school's community and support system. The PTA tries very hard to represesnt the diversity of the students and families at Pinchbeck. Every year, requests for volunteers at ALL levels of commitment are sent to the school community; whether it is as a PTA Board position or simply for an hour or two a year . While so many PTA's across the country face issues such as embezzlement and infigting, I grateful that our Board is able to work so well together to accomplish so much for our school, Rather than a "clique," the PTA breeds new friendships in a setting that encourages volunteerism and fresh ideas. I encourage all Pinchbeck parents to get involved - you will never be turned away and will always find parents with similar values and goals for our children.

The teachers at Pinchbeck are Excellent! Pinchbeck's academic program challenges the children. The administration is very weak. They are non-supportive, not dependable and not concerned with issues you or your children may have. I do have the same concern as other parents. The PTA staff is clique like. I volunteer all the time and notice this alot. I am very upset with the end of the year awards. Most if not all of the special awards went to PTA staff children. They do make you feel very unwelcome. Being a room parent is more demanding then they say it is. There is a lack of communication with teachers, administration, parents and the PTA. The supply list is long compared to other schools. Money is spent unwisely. Some student-teacher ratios where 27:1.

I have two children that attend Pinchbeck and our experience has been very positive. We have had wonderful teachers who have given our children a real love of learning. The student body is diverse which we view as a positive. I think the PTA is active and hosts fun and educational programs for the kids and the community as a whole. My kids really enjoy the extras, like the talent show, fall carnival and running club. We could not be happier with both the academic and social environment.

Well as a parent of 2 children who attend pinchbeck I can say I am not impressed at all. The new Principal is never there to take your calls, unless you are in the PTA click. If you are not in the PTA click and all snobish your child wont fit in here. All the teachers know who each parent is and if you are in PTA then your child gets all the awards, special gifts, and all the knowledgement.My kids were on A B honor roll at there first school as soon as they transfer to Pinchbeck That all went down hill cause the classroom sizes are bigger and teachers cant give all students the time and learning they need, as soon as i got my kids back into there old school they were back on A B honor roll. So Pinchbeck isnt up to PAR on education
