All three of my kids went and are going there still. This is a fantastic school that prepares you well for middle school. I judged the science fair projects past several years and they are outstanding. Kids dedicated and teachers create a conducive learning environment.

This is an excellent school. There is no indication of racism nor has there been any problem. I would ignore any comments made regarding this issue, it is nothing more than a political narritive being exploited. The staff is awesome the school is great. The principle Mr. Thomae is the finest of educators and top notch in the GCS system.

If your child is African American please be cautious of sending them here. Only ten percent of the population is African american and some of the kids make racism comments and nothing happens to them. On student told my son that a little girl that he was friends with did not like his kind. Another student asked my son why his hair was greasy and then said because of your skin. Yet they say that they want all the children to feel included and safe. The counselor asked other students if what my son said was true and nothing happened and the other students verified it. Yet nothing happened to the boy. When I talked to the assistant principal she just sat there and said nothing. She dismissed my comments. I talked to the head principal and he gave the excuse that some of these children have not been around African Americans before. That does not excuse the behavior. My son go to fighting with the boy and my son was banished to a new classroom and now he is labeled a bad boy. He told the teacher that people were hitting him and nothing happened. The teacher asks him what are you coming over here to snitch. So he cant hit people back when they hit him and he is not allowed to tell on them either. Whats the point in telling when nothing happens. So people are allowed to make racist comments and hit you but if you defend yourself you are punished. The school claims they are not racist but the only difference between my son and the other boy is the skin color. There is so much more that has happened but that will be too much to type.

We relocated in the middle of the year and were worried about the transition, but between the amazing staff and an even more amazing teacher, we were very impressed. They are very organized and communicative and seem to genuinely care about the students.

This is our first year at Pearce and both of my kids grade kindergarten and 2nd grade have transitioned well. Their teachers are great and I love how much parents are able to be involved. Overall I think this is great school.

This is an excellent school, with good communication all around, expecially with the volunteer program. Consequently, staff is supported by involved parents and grandparents who are interested in maintaining high standards of excellence. Kudos to the teachers and staff who make this a superior learning experience!

Teachers and staff are amazing. I'm so happy that my kids are at such a wonderful school that lets the parents be so involved. We get so much great communication from the teachers and the principal. Thank you Pearce for caring so much about my kids!

This is a great school it looks nice it's big and they have funding so they are able to do a lot more things. All my children have been on about four to five trips this year and more to come. They are well organized. I have to say they are the best school we have been to so far. I absolutely love this school! However, I do have some dislikes about this school. The staff can be a bit rude to kids of color. They act so nice in front of the parents but then true colors show. The principals seem to be cool at first but they barely communicate. I have witness the principle sit in a meeting with a parent the whole time he's on his phone not once engaging in conversation. That did not sit well with me.

My daughter is a kindergartner at Pearce. After doing research into charter and magnet schools we decided Pearce (our neighboorhood school) was by far our best option. Its only a few weeks into school but so far we are thrilled. My child is happy and learning. The communication is terrific. We get a school newsletter, a classroom newsletter and a recorded phone call from the principal EVERY week. We are excited to be a part of the Pearce family.

Pearce Elementary helps my children to be well rounded, gives opportunity to learn beyond their grade level requirements and pushes them to perform on their personal best. I am sorry the parent who posted on 6/12/2014 didn't get feedback from the teacher they expected. I have a 2nd and 4th grader at Pearce and we have been there since my 4th grader was in Kindergarten. Every week we receive a principal newsletter, teacher newsletter, weekly homework folder with graded assignments (from both classes), and if I have a transportation change or a quick concern I get an email. My son is older so his teacher put comments in his homework planner he was required by the teacher to bring home everyday and as parents we are asked to check it everyday. Accountability has to be on both sides. They also have plays, musical, physical fitness wellness programs and end of the year Pallooza which helps raise money for the school to go towards supplies/technology for the school.

I moved to this area hearing the school was great. I don't get parent's standards. From an education standpoint it is good, but they are horrible at communicating. My son was behind on an assignment and teachers didn't even know. We ask why his grades drop and they have no clue. We will email asking questions and it will take 2 weeks to respond. My son gets good grades, but we try to resolve any issues that may arise. This is impossible when the school doesn't know or pay attention.

Pearce is a wonderful school. We moved to the area so our daughter could attend the Northwest schools. Pearce is a clean school and has a wonderful staff. I'm proud to be a part of the Pearce family.
