I love this school for my daughter. She has grown leaps and bounds both academically and socially. She has had some great teachers who truly love what they do. She loves going to school every day. The clubs she’s involved in allow her to flourish outside of just academics. It’s a really good school.

Great school choice! My son attends Trip and he is doing well, going to the first grade. We are excited for this upcoming school year. The teachers are amazing, organize, and respectful.

Horrible school I don’t even know we’re to start I should of listen to my child when he told me he did not like coming to this school , long story short there’s great but also very unprofessional people who work here so rude . if you have children with any disabilities be careful my child was bullied and kids will provoke him one of his teachers did nothing when my child will try to explain himself or tell him about any issues, and his last day he was poked with a pencil multiple times and the sub. told my child to be quite sit down and do his work they didn’t even bother to listen but he got 3 days out of school suspension for refusing to sit down we’re he was getting hurt . While the other child has no consequences . They didn’t even bother to ask who was the other student when the school principal called me right away I noticed that she did not even had any idea of my child disability’s or the reason he was upset , but was to quick to point out something he did wrong for his own safety . My son try to explain to her and she said ( I DON’T CARE ) also said hey guess what I ate your candy ! SMH !

My children go to Trip. They continue to receive top notch instruction and on top of that everyone is so friendly. I know my children are cared for. Administration responds in timely manners to situations and makes families feel validated.

Trip is a great school with hard working teachers and students. Administrators are great and effectively communicate.

Prior to Covid, I probably would have given Trip a five star rating. However after the overwhelming lack of support I received from the school while my child struggled with mental health during the digital learning year, I am left disgusted. With the exception being my child’s homeroom teacher at that time, I love all the hard working teachers of Trip. I will never understand all the complexities of what the school district requires of teachers but I do notice that the teachers are under appreciated, under valued and stressed by the school’s administrators. The emphasis put on students’ test scores is absolutely ridiculous. The amount of i-Ready diagnostics and lessons given to students is stress inducing and in my opinion, a replacement for live learning sessions. The lack of communication from Trip admins about the purpose of i-Ready is shameful. I’ve seen so many GREAT teachers leave Trip and I’m told that the top admin is why. When it mattered most, Trip failed my family.

It’s unfortunate that I’m giving this school two stars because for the most part the experiences I have had as a very involved volunteering parent over the years were positive. However, I am giving the school two stars because my Kindergartener’s teacher who was new to the school this year (although is a veteran educator) was terrible. She was literally horrible. Her attitude with me when I ask questions was just horribly abrupt and unapproachable. My son said she think he’s “dumb because I don’t pay attention” among so many other things. I no longer have confidence in this school or administration. I raised the issue to an AP and she seemed more interested in defending her teacher than getting to the core of the concerns that I had as a parent. It was a true let down after years of having great experiences this distasteful educator and how she was handled changed my entire perception of Trip Elementary School. I feel

I had 2 daughters at Trip, my oldest graduated 5th grade this year. She started at Trip in 1st grade. First I want to give a big shout out to Mrs Maunder. She is by far the best teacher I've come across. She gave my daughter so much confidence in herself that she maintains honor roll and is in all gifted classes. Unfortunately, Trip is not the school that we started at. It's disorganization is at a dangerous level. The cafeteria is constantly running out of food and what is there is inedible. Dr Walker is extremely unreachable, she doesn't return emails and and avoids parents. The other parents are rude, dress inappropriately, park in the fire lanes, pull into the car rider line going the wrong way and cut off every one that's pulling in. Administrators completely ignore this and this year there was almost a fist fight in the car rider line between 2 grown women. The students are becoming increasingly out of control. My younger daughter's teacher last year had a horrible time with her class and was in tears multiple times. It got so bad that we made sure that we not only moved out of trip's cluster but out of Gwinnett County.

I have twin daughter heading to the 5th grade. My girls have been with Trip since 1st grade. I absolutely love Trip. The teachers go to the moon and back for the students. I want to send a special shout out the 4th grade teacher of the year in my heart Mrs. Maunder. I put both my girls in the same class for the first time. It was the best thing for my family. No more going to two different classes, two different homework assignment or two different field tip dates. I have work with Mrs. Maunder on class projects a few times through out the year and she is alway pleasant and joy to work with. Trip is a great school. Sincerely, The ECR Family

I love TRIP, my daughter is going to the 2nd grade. She has been there since March - K. Her teachers are so attentive, and they are always so caring and informative. Mrs. Jones is her 1st grade teacher and I love her. My daughter Tirzah loves to be in her class. She is fair and well experienced. The school itself is clean and friendly staff. I LOVE TRIP

My son is in Kindergarten at Trip and I absolutely love his teacher and the school. His teacher keeps me informed about how he is doing and responds to every email, question etc in a timely manner. A bad experience with the receiptionist doesn't constitute a unsatisfactory rating in my opinion. I can't wait until my 1 year old joins his big brother at Trip--even if just for a year. I am looking forward to next school year. I hope his 1st grade teacher is just as nice, caring and professional as Mrs. Andrus has been the entire time she has taught my child.
