Grayson has wonderful teachers and great leadership under Principal Chris Brown. They really take an interest in the children and support them in every way possible. My three children love Grayson Elementary!

Grayson Elem.is a great school as I am a teacher there and have been for over 12 years. I live in the community as well and appreciate our traditions even though things are changing rapidly around us. Our principal, Chris Brown strives to make our job wonderful and appreciates the hard work we do and loves the students as if they were his own. The staff works hard and long hours to plan fun lessons and make school a great place to be. God bless everyone at Grayson Elementary!Lisa Frost

I have 2 children there: one is gifted and one is special needs. For my gifted child and for any child that fits inside the "box", they excel and do well. I love the way the gifted children are put into one class together co taught with the gifted teacher daily. They don't spend the extra time going over everything and the class moves faster. However, I only wish my experience with my special needs child was the same. From the first day there it has been a nightmare. The administration at the school is NOT equipped to handle children that don't precisely fit the mold or need a different level of support. The teachers that my child has had are fabulous and have done everything they can within the limits that are set on them but the administration has been absolutely HORRIBLE to deal with. Not only has my child not received the support that they need but the administration has gone so far as to retaliate against me for standing up for my child and questioning how they were handling things. They have made it so uncomfortable for my children and family that we had to leave the school.

I LOVE Grayson Elementary!! My 3 kids have gotten a top notch education experience. Most of the teachers have many years of experience, and it shows in their instruction. The principal is an effective leader and is very clear about his goals and the school's testing scores, etc. The PTA is extremely involved in the school, and has contributed thousands of dollars worth of technology that every student can access. AND..the school has a family feel. Parents are always welcome to visit, make suggestions, and be involved. In an age where public schools aren't always great in many areas, I feel blessed to have Grayson Elementary as our school! -Jada Edwards, Parent, PTA volunteer

Excellent school - caring teachers for the most part, and a wonderful community feel with lots of parent involvement, key to a great school. We are getting ready to get a new principal, so we'll see if that changes anything for better or worse.
