We love Canyon! We transitioned here from homeschooling and they were so welcoming and kind to my kids. My oldest has promoted to high school and she was truly sad to leave her junior high teachers behind. We have two kids at Canyon this upcoming year and we know that this is the best place for them! From the teachers greeting them at the gate in the morning, to fun activities throughout the year, we are so happy knowing that they are spending their time with people that want to see them succeed beyond just test scores. We are so grateful to have found this school!

My child has attended this school and there has been several issues that to this day I have never been called back by the principal or superintendent of schools. One is the school’s after school program never called 911 when my child’s arm was broken on the playground. She’s ended up in surgery over 12 hours after it happened. She went to two hospitals and it was initially told to the other parent that it was a sprang. After that there was issues with the office not having current court documents for parents rights. Later we found the school never relaid the information that our daughter is an asthmatic and food allergies. And still no call backs from principal or superintendent. We left several messages. We still do not get progress reports or school info the last email received was; the teacher will get back to you about sending you a progress report.

I absolutely LOVE this school!! My kiddos have been attending for 9 years now and I couldn't have asked for a better school for them to attend. The administration is fantastic and really on point. The teachers and staff are amazing as well.

Canyon has went through many changes over the last few years. These changes have been positive and excellent!! I have a daughter who promoted from Canyon last year and another who currently attends 6th grade. The administration and staff all truly love their jobs and it shows every time I step foot into the campus. Teachers enjoy teaching and students are enjoying learning!! The new administration are always in classrooms and available for parents. It's so refreshing. The office and nursing staff are friendly and so welcoming. Canyon has a "family feel" and there is no other school out there like it.

I absolutely love Canyon. The staff and teachers have the biggest hearts every time I walk into the office everyone has a smile and are so extremely nice best school I have ever been to!!! The secretaries make you feel at home they work so hard and I truly admire them and all the hard work they do. The nurses have the biggest hearts even if my son is not really sick they take care of him as if he is really sick absolutely love them the principal and assistant principal work so hard and even if they had a long long day if you need them they will act as if the day just began two lady's that are true leaders all the teachers just give and give they really want are kids to succeed they are so passionate and caring and Sunflower teachers no words could describe how amazing they are!!! I am so greatful for the staff at Canyon #1 school

The teachers and staff are stellar. Quality education and every child gets the attention they need. I can't imagine sending my kids to any other school. The teachers are kind and patient. Admin and staff are exceptional. We love this school.

This school continues to get better! Admin has really turned this school around! New teachers are really serious about teaching. They have started the year off by making sure each student gets what he or she needs. They have time during the day called win time or what I need. It's refreshing to see a school take care of it's students.

I have two kids who attend Canyon and they love it there. This is their first year at Canyon, but they have been welcomed with open arms! The teachers are compassionate and truly care about my children. The office staff will bend over backwards to help a parent. The new principal and returning assistant principal are a fantastic team who really want to change where Canyon is headed. Overall, it has been an A+ year!

I love Canyon! As a parent I am more concerned with the atomosphere my child is in on a daily basis all day, Canyon is a great atmophere with caring devoted employees. The new administration is great, the principal is so compassionate and understanding to the students. I am proud to say that my children attend Canyon!

To tell the truth it has been a couple of difficult years for Canyon, but this school year we had the good luck to get a new Principal, she is a wonderful teacher, a really hard worker and a mother that understands the challenges of the state of education now. I trust that our school is going to be graded a 10 soon. The faculty is really working towards it. The staff is just as hard working as everybody there. My girls feel at home at Canyon, they truly love their teachers, the staff even some of the volunteers.

Canyon is a wonderful school! The new adminstration is great and we have noticed alot of really great changes around the campus. I love how Canyon focuses on community asnd it really feels like a family. The teachers are wonderful and I have had positive experiences with all of the support staff. I highly recommend Canyon.

I love this school. Compare to the other school my child went to. The teachers are wonderful. The new principal is wonderful. The office staff are very friendly. My only concern is I feel like ever since the common core has started I feel that my children are not learning of all subjects in school. Just my opinion though. Thanks!

My child has attended this school for a couple years now and i have to say this year has had a lot of POSITIVE changes! I love the new office staff and principal! Its a much happier place to come to in the morming! They are very welcoming and helpful!

I have two children that attend Canyon. My son has had a wonderful experience there and has much support from his teachers for his learning disability. My daughter has had some struggles at Canyon and I am trying to get her the help she needs. Canyon has had many staff changes since last year and I can't say it has been for the best. I have become very disappointed and am glad my son is moving on to High School. I will be moving my daughter at the end of the school year. I have emailed staff with my concerns and have not had any follow up phone calls or emails. I loved Canyon when both of my children started their in the Preschool program they use to have.

My son has attended Canyon for 1st and 2nd grade. Canyon is outstanding! His previous school "wrote him off" stating he may possibly be able to be a "c" student. Canyon teachers work closely together to ensure that my son not only meets his educational goals, but gives him the tools to succeed! He loves Canyon and so do we! Mrs. Vaninetti is the most amazing teacher I have had the priviledge to interact with. The campus is large, yet class sizes are small.

Both my boys went to a private school before attending Canyon. My oldest son had a great year at Canyon then went on to Cactus High School and continued to excel. My youngest son has been at Canyon since 3rd grade and is now in 8th grade. He also has done very well and likes the school alot. We are very happy with Canyon and think it is an excellent school.
