This school is a dream come true! As a teacher I am not bombarded with behavior issues and I actually get to teach all day! These kids voluntarily do reports because they love to learn. Our students get to shine and inspire other students to do the same. At this traditional school the students work hard but they also have fun and are rewarded for their achievements. Everyday that I'm on campus I think to myself this can't be real. I wish this school was around when my kids were in elementary school.

The nurturing class size at The Traditional Academy at Bellair allows for my kindergartener to focus on being a positive citizen within a community, as well as encourages his individualized growth. The dedication his teachers show whether in-person or virtual is inspiring and the genuine care the faculty and staff have for my son, make us proud to call this school our home. We look forward to being a Silverhawk for many more years to come.

Education is of high importance in our family and we are thrilled with the teaching styles and communication level between staff, students and parents at the Traditional Academy at Bellair. It’s been tough on everyone with the happenings in our world, but they have made it much easier to transition between online learning and on campus learning, making sure we are constantly up to date with what it going on in the district, school and individual classrooms. We really appreciate the weekly emails and the willingness to be open at any time for an email or call to discuss our child’s progress and any questions or concerns. The fact that there are special programs on campus as well for extra support to make sure our children are at the level they need to be at is amazing. They do their best to make learning fun and incorporate small activities, and they provide incentives for the children for good behavior. I would highly recommend The Traditional Academy at Bellair to anyone looking for this type of atmosphere, where strong education and the involvement of family is highly valued!

Why I Love The Traditional Academy of BellairDeciding to choose a new school for our daughter after 4 years at her previous school was a difficult decision at best. We truly wanted her to experience a passion for learning in the best possible environment. The pandemic and online learning only made us question if one more change is a good idea. We are happy to say it was one the best decisions we have ever made. Every time we pick her up from school she has a big proud smile on her face. The teachers at Bellair have taken the time to get to know her one on one and help her to flourish in every subject. She is making honor roll and being rewarded for pushing herself to do more than the minimum to get by. She even comes home and begs me to give her long division problems just for fun! The teachers are incredibly passionate and dedicated. Communicating with them has been effortless. We are so very grateful to be part of this school and community. Thank you principal Hunt and everyone at Bellair. We love our school!!!!

There’s no better school than The Traditional Academy at Bellair for students to learn and grow into extraordinary lifelong learners! The Academy provides students with an accelerated, challenging, and back-to-basics curriculum which ensures that students build foundational skills. What I love most about The Traditional Academy at Bellair is the commitment to learning by not only the students, staff and administration but the family as well. I truly believe that the success of each of our students comes from this unwavering commitment. Although COVID has limited many extracurricular campus and learning opportunities, The Traditional Academy at Bellair administration and staff have been able to provide as unique a learning experience as possible. From upbeat music in the mornings, weekly video announcements by the Proud Principal Mrs. Hunt, daily morning announcements by our sixth graders, and Hawk Bucks for positive behaviors, just to name a few, The Traditional Academy at Bellair is committed to making the student experience positive and motivating. I truly enjoy working at The Traditional Academy at Bellair for the leadership, collaboration between all staff members, and the happy, smiling faces of my students! They love coming to school, laughing with their friends, and learning with each other.

Two of my children are currently attending The Traditional Academy at Bellair. I could not ask for a better set of teachers and staff. This past year has been a very trying time for all students and teachers; yet my children are thriving and have learned so much this year despite the challenges of the pandemic. My children are academically growing and love going to school every day! Everything at this school is top notch and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great learning environment for their children.

This school is simply an amazing place to be for the staff and the students. The climate is completely positive, the students are so sweet and encouraging to one another, and both staff and students strive to do their best and grow their IQ as well as their EQ. The administration sets the standard in recognizing hard work from their staff and students by giving constant positive recognition, and it is emulated by the staff and the students. There is a high emphasis on doing one’s best and encouraging others to do so as well. This is every person’s dream school.

I have been nothing but pleased with the Traditional Academy at Bellair. It has been the best work environment I could have asked for. I am constantly amazed at the activities and instruction that teachers provide. They are constantly mentoring me as a new teacher to the district. I have the freedom and flexibility to create my instruction for ELA and Social Studies based off the needs of my students, which gives me the ability to push them when they are ready. I have seen so much growth from my students because of the traditional curriculum and model of this school! Our school administration is supportive and constantly innovating to achieve a high standard of excellence and be a relevant, technologically advanced school. They care about each student and his or her success. I’m excited to teach here for the years to come!

Since starting our daughter at Bellair, we've been continually impressed by the quality and friendliness of the teachers. We've gotten lots of great feedback. Our daughter seems engaged and excited when she comes home, and is eager to tell us about her day. No complaints so far!

Not the best not the worst had issues with bully’s and had to contact the principal several times to get taken care of. My son was struggling with reading at this school and now at his new school he has an A in reading.

I have been attending this school since kindergarten. I have loved my teachers except two. There are 4th and 2nd graders cussing, lots of bullying! The teachers to handle the bullying pretty good though. Most of the kids are nice. Just one or 2 substitute teachers were very disrespectful and rude I give this a 4 star rating. I do recommend this school.

Bellair has made great strides over the past four years with the new principal who's created a very open, friendly and academically rich environment.The entire staff is engaged with the students, families and the community. There is a sense of belonging both within the school and within the community.There is a focus on constant improvement and it shows throughout the entire school. While academics is a major issue, the whole child experience is a significant part of why Bellair is such a wonderful school.Our experience here has been great, our child is thriving in this environment. We couldn't ask for anything more.

I have a daughter in 2nd grade. She loves her teacher. I can see the hard work she is doing. The school is friendly. The teachers are great! Seeing how happy my daughter is and everything she is learning is why I love Bellair. When I am at the school I feel welcome.

I have been familiar with Bellair Elementary since the late 80's. Both of my children attended school there and now my granddaughter. I have seen a lot of changes over the years. The teachers all seem very happy there and ready to do their jobs. The office personal is very friendly and answer any questions that you may throw out to them. About a year ago we got a new principal and I can say she has really turned this school around. Things seem to be running smoothly.
