If I said why, they could identify me, so I'd rather not, but believe me when I tell you that YOUR CHILD IS NOT SAFE HERE ! I'm only sorry I waited as long as I did to pull her out of there. Afterwards, many people in the field confided to me their low opinion of CEDS. I wish I had vetted Creative Environment before they traumatized my child, and endangered others.

WHAT AN EXCELLENT SCHOOL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A REALLY QUALITY PROGRAM TAUGHT AND DIRECTED BY PROFESSIONAL STAFF. MY CHILDREN LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR AND SUMMER PROGRAMS...

Both of my children attended this school and their summer camp program. As a matter of fact, both started in the toddler room which was a lovely building with 2 bathrooms and on the main floor. The building is clean and well kept, I myself saw new carpet installed at least 2 times while my children attended. The menu was detailed in a monthly newsletter. The meals were healthy, well balanced and child friendly. They were prepared in their on-site kitchen by a chef. My children ate food there that they would not touch at home. The director and her assistant were always polite and professional. I am not sure if the other reviewers know the difference between a proper day school and a day care center. This is a professionally run day school where I only saw happy children and parents. They obviously do not know caring and quality when they see it. I have nothing but happy children that enjoyed their day there. They even wanted me to pick them up as late as possible so they could enjoy the day longer. I am a satisfied parent.

I substituted as the cook at this school a few years ago. I was very impressed with the quality of care that was given to the kids. I also worked at another day school and it was a totally different situation. I would feel confident that my grandkids would be safe, happy and well taught at CEDS. I would fear for them if they attended the other place.

I chose Creative Environment Day School as an unexpected choice when the previous arrangements for an after morning kindergarten program didn't work out. I can't say how happy I have been about the choice. My daughter enjoyed the enrichment program so much she asked to take her there for the full day when the regular school days were off. I can say only good words about the teachers (Excellent) and the administrators. The summer camps is great with swimming classes, nature walks, sports, and a full lunch cooked on the site with excellent choices. They are very flexible in terms of schedules and helpful (as long as you are making an effort to follow the policies). For the reviewer unhappy with the mishap in scheduling - the best way to make changes is to go there and speak in person...submit a letter. They are quite busy there.

I enrolled my son in the day camp on recommendation from parents that had used it a few years ago. It seemed like a friendly place, until they received my contract. I wanted to switch the weeks my son would be there to weeks later in the summer. This seemed to take only a brief phone call. A week later, Joan from the office called and asked where my child was. I told her I had switched weeks. After she gave me a hard time, I informed her the call was still logged in my phone and gave her the date, time and length of call. She then had me speak to the director, Sheila, who who proceeded to call me a liar .. Why wouldn't I have called and told them about the change? I am not interestedin aschool that calls parents liars, and you shouldn't be either.
