I’m gonna start by saying the principal and the vice principal need to go back to whatever schooling is that they had to go to, to become a principal and vice principal. I was told this was the better school than the other school that is located on the base that we are currently at and basically that is not true. I sadly had to switch my three kids from the school because they don’t know how to handle Problems that keep reoccurring since the beginning of school in August. And when you try to talk to them they never know anything or they’re supposed to get back to you I’m still supposed to be hearing back from them and I still haven’t. SMH.. Bullying and kid’s not keeping their hands to themselves is a major problems And if your child defends themself, they get in trouble. Let’s just say I can’t wait till we get out of California. Hopefully, the new school we are going to is a lot better. And it’s making me leave a star because I would not

Scandia is a fabulous school and it is an honor and privilege to be a teacher here. We have a wonderful principal and a team of dedicated teachers and staff. The campus is full of enthusiastic, hard-working, caring students and the parent involvement is amazing.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Scandia. The office staff is very helpful, the teachers are great, and the new principal is outstanding!

The office staff and first grade teachers are amazing. My child has blossomed under the new first grade teachers. I am concerned about apathy of the 2nd grade teachers (there is one very loud screamer) as they don't seem motivated anymore. The other grades I have heard good things about. It is very disappointing that there no extracurricular activities, but that is due to state budget and not the school. Overall, I am very happy with both of my children going here.

We enrolled our children in this school and were encouraged by the office staff's friendliness. We have never had problems in school and were looking forward to the year. This school was a big disappointment. The second graders are treated as middle school students. School is not made to be fun but more of a 'military style' school. Our kids came home crying every day over things that shouldn't have been an issues. At a young age we felt it important to make school fun while learning. We switched our children to another school in the district and have not had any issues since. Scores are not the only thing that should be considered in this school.

My 2 children attend Scandia, I am very disappointed. There is no extracurricular activities. They cancelled music this year. The classrooms are pod style which means 4 classes are held in one room with only half walls to seperate them. This creates huge distractions for the children. The teachers lack any enthusiasm towards the children. It is a real shame.
