The school would do very little for bullying, mainly either only telling the kid off or just suspending them instead of actually teaching them the right ways. The school had very little supervision and kids would often do stuff when the teachers aren't looking like fighting or others. One teacher would curse at students when he got mad and there was very little help for the students who were behind, I would recommend moving your kids to a different school or Grange as a middle school.

I do not recommend any child to go to this school. For one they have horrible teaching and learning skills, they barely teach the students anything and expect them to know it all! My kid has barely learned anything since they've been there, been getting bullied, and the staff doesn't make my kids feel comfortable. It is definitely not a safe place to be. Not a good learning environment. Also, the kids there don't know how to keep their hands to themselves, or words to themselves. The teachers and staffs hear it all but don't say anything and when the students finally speak up they don't do anything about it.

When I went to this school, there were a lot of fights and a lot of bullying, and I complained to the staff there that I was getting bullied for the entire school year, and they did nothing to help me with this problem. I would not recommend sending your children to this school.

This school is to toxic for my daughters. The teacher that she has makes her do his work expecting her to know what to do. The students bully her almost every day as well. And the staff and principal himself DONT do anything. This is ridiculous!!

This School claims to have anti-bullying practice, but it's the complete opposite. My son was a transfer from a different school district. The teachers and student made him feel unwelcome. He was never introduced but was told to "sit down and get to work". The worst experience ever. My son is now going to a new school and our family is happy about it.

My son transfered to this school when we moved here almost six months ago, i honestly dread taking him to school in the mornings due to the heavy traffic and lines of cars waiting for the supervisors to get them out. I recieved a phone call that my son is tardy too often and i had to let them know if there wasnt so much traffic in the morning he would be in his class on time. They have a new principle this year and are making slight changes to the dropping off rule so hopefully we see some improvement in that. Also the supervisor ladies arent very frienldy, never smile or greet you just seem like the hate their job. It's early people we could all use a nice greeting and smile in the morning. Other than that the teacher my son had was on top of everything and always let us know what they needed to improve on. Hopefully i can give 5 stars after this school year. We shall see.

Overall Tolenas is a great school. My son has been going for two years now and both teachers are amazing, My issue is the staff. I've had so many different problems with the front office staff and the yard duties. It's to the point I'm ready to complain to the school board. If staff would change their attitude and put a little smile on their face I would give this school 5 stars.

If substandard staff and the worst parking issues and parking monitors in the history of Elementary schools than this is the school for you. While given the short end of the stick due to budget cuts this school manages to prove to everyone they are not happy about it. The attitudes are unacceptable and they feel they have the right to do things at their own pace and forget about the parents concerns. Class Schedule this Monday (all other schools had sched. out already) then when I go in I am told not till after noon. Funny, I didn't see that on the sign. Because it is apparently not obvious, it is time for the school board to take a closer look at the Operations at Tolenas before any more kids kids slip through the cracks. I finally taught, teaching kids is an important and tough job. It is going to require that those who wanted to be teachers actually work. An yes, I said teachers and not Educators. You can call Ford a Cadillac but it is still a Ford.
