My son’s first year at Dover attending kindergarten. It was a pleasure to have Mrs.Anthony as his teacher. Her professionalism, patience, kindness and love to her students is outstanding. The principal is nice and helpful , when I had a concern about my sons learning it was easy to get his IEP going because he needs extra help. Both, The principal and Mrs.anthony made me feel confident that my son began to receive that extra help he needs. Office staff have always been welcoming and always assisting with a smile on their face. Ive never ran into any issue with the school or staff everything runs extremely smooth there. I am happy and satisfied with Dover Elementary and looking forward to the next few years my son will be attending here.

My 6 year old daughter attends Dover and she loves it - and so do we. The teachers and administrators are good educators and kept us parents informed of our children’s progress as well as address any concerns promptly. They communicate consistently with parents through Parentsquare. My daughter is well ahead of her learning pace and we attribute most of that success to Dover faculty. We believe that effective partnership between us parents and the teachers is key to making our children successful and engaged in their education. That is a joint responsibility between parents and teachers and not just the teachers alone. Dover takes students safety and academic success seriously. That is evident to me when I attend PTA meetings where I get briefed about my child’s academic progress as well as other positive safety precautions that they implemented to ensure our children learn in a safe and stimulating environment.

This is not a good environment for kids. Most children that attend are not even close to grade level for reading and math amd the school never gives out homework. There are a lot of red flags, don't ignore them.

My daughter went here for Transitional kindergarten and came home with terrible habits that she picked up from the older kids at the school. The teacher that she had could not control the classroom at all. She got "left" on the playground and got in trouble for being smarter than the rest of the kids in the class because she wanted to play when she got done with her work faster than everyone else. Also the traffic was terrible (made worse by the way the student drop off/pick up was set up)!! The city needs to allow the school to open the other entrances.
