I am very disappointed in this school principals, they have no people skills. The only good thing about this school is para-educators Paulette in front office. Kindergarten teacher Ms.Boyles and Right at school aftercare program. I do not feel my student is safe because kids have been hurt and parents have not been called.

Parents always been called to pick-up the child with disabilities if he/she is having tantrums. They don't know how to handle and incapable of handling children with disabilities. The teacher in special education is not a license special ed teacher. As a parent, we are always thinking what's going on with my child that they cannot handle, but the past few years, we never have problems with the teacher and para educator, but this year is worst!

My children were enrolled in A.K when we lived in Fairfield, and I must say the review on this site had me unhappy that I had to put my K and 3rd grader here. But once I attended the parent meeting, I was pleased. Mr. K is a great principal, and is new to the school for the 11/12 yr. He is working hard to raise scores, and is working hard to involve parents. I was appointed a spot on one of the boards, but I moved. The reason A.K has such low scores is because there are a lot of non English speaking children that have a rough time learning the language, so it brings the scores down. Both of my children's teachers were great and I was sad we had to move. Once Mr. K gets a grip on getting more help for those Spanish only speaking children and more parents involved, A.K will rank so much higher! Good luck A.K! We miss you!
