This is the most country bumkin school I have ever seen. I went to another school in the parish through 10th grade which is widely considered the best. I moved to Evans to Finish 11th and 12th grade I can say the eduacation level was absolutley a joke. The people are the nicest in the world. No question it is a family environment and if you have a troubled child who just needs to graduate then this may be a good option. I didn't even go to many of my classes most of the time and still passed because I was a "good kid" and very smart. Don't send your children here if you want a successful college career to be in they're future. Trust me. Send them to Anacoco.. but Anacoco is very challenging. Your child will learn though. I fully expect some of the Alumni to post on here that I am bashing the school etc but that is not the case at all. good people like I said... but from someone who attended 3 schools in the Parish (Anacoco, Leesville, and Evans) Anacoco is night and day better than both. Leesville is not much better than Evans but Evans is bottom of the barrel education wise.
