This school was completly awful. Never ever in a million years would I ever recommend sending your kid to a school like this. I was groped on the playground and staff "didn't see" and then when i tried to take my life and told a teacher about it later, she started berating me in front of my friend and then said i ruined her day cause now she has to get me help. Still have the effects of that trauma with me to this day. If this school, or another school afilitaed with that church, ever reopens, please do whats best for your kid and never send them there.

I would leave a negative star if I could! Horrible school. Hey everyone! Just wanted to let y’all know about my experience with First Assembly Christian Academy. First, I was trying to find a school for my son, who turns 4 after September 30th, that actually teach. I was IN VA before moving here and as well all know PCSing once school has started can be a challenge. This school had a spot and seemed good. Everything happened in a span of 2 weeks. First day my son comes home with scratches. I’m thinking boys will be boys and maybe he had fun. My husband was dropping him off and witness a teacher moving a child out the way and stating “I can not deal with this today”. At that point my husband was like where is the emotional support. You’re a teacher how can you not deal with this. Another time he runs to us and a chuck of skin is missing from his finger and he is bleeding. The teacher didn’t know how it happen and wasn’t going to say anything until my son said it. I know this because we was talking to the teacher and then my son came up and told us. By then the blood had ran all down his finger and was dried up. Our last straw with the school was when my child came home with a bite mark on his back that broke skin. He is telling us what happened and at this point I’m furious because the teacher did not inform us of an incident! At this point I feel no one is doing there job and neglecting my child. We reach out and try talking to the teacher. And her defense is she can not tell us about another child. It is against the law. BUT at this point the front desk has already told about this child and all the accidents he has caused. Then the teacher goes in to say well he didn’t tell me. Just trying to protect herself. As of now we pulled my son out the school but I was calling to talk to the Director and/ or owner. But they gave me the run around hung up In my face. Moral of the story is do not send your child to this school. It is very unprofessional and most importantly not a safe environment.

I have two children that attended this school. I worked there as well. The principal is Amazing & his staff is helpful and caring. They helped my son leaps & bounds! Because of the one on one attention he went from a failing student to A/B honor roll!Thank you all for everything!

My oldest started at the school when she was 1 year old. She is currently in the academy there and we cannot wait to get out of there. A year ago I would have recommend this daycare/school all day long. Now it's terrible and heart breaking to see all that has gone wrong. The only reason I even gave a 2 star rating is because we love our teachers. The new principle, Mr. Bush doesn't have informed staff whatsoever. No one ever knows whats going on. The daycare is filthy and black mold is visible. At any given time anyone off the street can walk right in because there is no one ever at the front desk. Most of the staff have multiple jobs because they can't seem to keep anyone on staff. My biggest concern is I don't feel like my children are safe there any longer. They do not do any drills other than fire drills. My kids don't know what to do in the event of an active shooter and thats real world problems. There is no incentive for the children either. No more student of the month, honor roll awards or ANYTHING! They tried doing something new with "Eagle Bucks" but after the 1st quarter it seemed to have gone away. Chapel use to be the best part of the week. Sadly, my child cry's every Friday now because she dislikes it so much. They make it boring and in my opinion are ruining the church experience for the kids. Ultimately we are paying for a public school except the public schools are more secure. I truly don't know how they will keep their doors open.

I have had an exceptional overall experience with this school! My son has gone to the daycare since he was 6 weeks old. He is thriving, far above the typical developmental benchmarks, and loves his teachers. Additionally, I have seen how well the staff and teachers educate the children on the academy side and am well pleased. My husband and I fully intent to keep our son here until he ages out!

If your Active duty soldier don't pay in full there is NO Refund. Children who are academecly doing better then children struggling get better treatment by staff members. If your kid have a learning disability or have medical issues they will be ostracized by the principal and staff member's. They are expensive.

This school is absolutely the best! My youngest child was "kicked out" of the other private school in the area, because at 4 years old he was unable to just sit at a desk and do nothing once his work was done. Because of this, I was a little gun shy about trying him at another private school, but I really do think the ABEKA curriculum is one of the best out there. I explained my fears to both the principal and the kindergarten teacher, and they both assured me that he would do fine, and in fact he has done GREAT! My older son will be attending FACA next year also, and he is really looking forward to it. They are the most loving, family oriented school I have ever seen, and we are blessed to have found our children a home here!

I have two children enrolled here and they just love it!! The student teacher ratios are fantastic!! The teachers are also very involved with the children and spend large amounts of one-on-one time with them. The director clearly loves children and visits all the class rooms daily! A GREAT school for your children to get all the fundimentals they need to be sucsseful in there later years!

Public is better than this: qy son is in k5... This class has NO structure!!! They have a morning freetime... They say for 15 mins. But its about 30... They have recess... They advertise no naps, but dont be fooled!! Instead of napping they watch a movie for 45-60 mins while k4 sleeps next door... Movies that students bring to school such as; alvin & chipmunks, princess & the frog, etc... Nothing educational... Then they have another freetime for about 30 mins again.... Freetime consists of playing with barbie dolls, trucks, and making paper airplanes that they fly across the room... Yes they are allowed to use their school supplies to make airplanes and fly multiple planes in class on a DAILY basis until just recently when the teacher realized that their construction paper was low...Really??? Not to mention the countless "free days" when there is no teaching at all..Whenever you go in, there is trash all over the floor, kids screaming, running around the room... No effective discipline. Take a tour of faith training (wherevmy child will be going next year) and you will notice a HUGE difference.. Im not talking about the buildingithrrer.. The $5 extra is worth it. HORRIBLE SCHOOL!

I have two children that attend here, one of them is a special needs child. The teachers are excellent, they care for both of my children unconditionally. Unlike another private school in the area that we tried, the teachers and principle of the school take the time and extra effort to minister good Christian values to the kids, and take the time to meet the additional needs of my diabetic daughter. My children are loved and well cared for. The education curriculum is the same curriculum used at the other christian school in town, however the cost here is less for some reason, and the resource and suppy fees are noticably less. Even though this school is not as new as others, the facility is in good condition and well maintained. The teachers are first quality and I feel my kids are getting the best education for the money.
