Good school but the staff and desisions staff make about credits and changing classes make it much harder on the students, its seems lile staff, especially counselors want to make their jon as easy as possible by not changing electives, the classes that make up more than half of your schedule. The biggest problem i have with the school is how they handle things going wrong, if somthing goes wrong most of the time somone gets hurt who was not the victim, i would suggest looking at a diferent school farther away, ive been wanting to switch schools ever since i moved there as groups are small and a student will have a hard time finding friends and the staff make thier jobs easier by making the students HS experience more stressful and dificult.

2 children have gone through and 2 are still in this Horrible school. The teachers are good but district can't pay them good so they don't stay. Staff has no concept of how to deal with bullying and for such a small community bullying is excessive. School has weird dynamic in that the bullies and druggies are popular. The teachers have NO control over students. The disrespect the students show the teachers is egregious and the teachers do nothing. It's like they are afraid. Don't even think of putting your daughter in cheer. The cheer coach is as involved as a gnome statue in your backyard. Our children can't wait to graduate, go on to college and put what's supposed to be a great HS experience behind them. If possible, I highly recommend looking into Kiowa.

I would like to submit that my student has been in the District since Kindergarten. Not all years were good, so I'm pretty critical. Elizabeth High School has been a great experience. My student is involved in sports all year, and adores his coaches. The staff keeps on top of academic performance and eligibility for sports. My student, in turn, has really been focused on his academics. As with anything in life, one has to apply oneself to achieve success. I think EHS fosters that environment. The new Principal is also very involved and responsive. Also, there are a great group of parents involved in the Booster and Cardinal clubs. Overall a great Community and School!

I was a student at this school back in 2005-2007. Now I know that was long ago but at that time, I'm basing this review on that experience. Because this IS what I experienced at this school. The teachers at this school at the time were the worst I've ever had, and I've gone to singing hills and Elizabeth middle school. I had more help with my learning disability at those two than the high school, which ultimately lead me to depression and leaving the school and getting my G.E.D. because I was so fed up with the way they taught. I learned hardly anything in geometry. My teacher was too busy with hot air balloons and the color purple and kicking all of his students out of the classroom. The worst one was when he kicked a student out for asking for a pencil. Instead of getting rid of this teacher, they kept him. I learned nothing that entire semester. Which made second semester of geometry incredibly hard. So many of the teachers and faculty working there at that time were awful. And the teachers picked favorites all the time and ignored the ones that struggled. I am glad I chose to leave. I'm almost finished with college. I've learned so much more my time in college than I ever did at this school. I'd personally never send my children to this school ever.

I am a parent of two. One freshman and one Junior. I have been very happy with EHS. My kids are challenged and for such a small community, there are lots of course offerings. The teachers, though relatively low paid, care immensely about the kids. Learning takes place here. Much better than the schools in bigger cities. So glad we moved here.

I'm currently a student at EHS going into Junior year, I love the school and I feel like I'm receiving an incredible education. The teachers do circulate a lot; however that just means that we get a lot of new teachers fresh out of college with tons of energy and excited to teach! The teachers care too, and in my experience are happy to help. There are also lots of AP, CP, and extracurricular classes offered. I Love EHS, the only problem I find is our lack of funding :(

My son has been extremely happy at EHS. I have found the teachers to be very caring and helpful. The students are nice to each other and good kids. It makes me sad that the community has not passed any of the bond measures to help give some money to our schools. The teachers at EHS make considerably less money than surrounding communities, and the school is in need of safety improvements. This school does unbelievably well considering the lack of funding it receives.
