Longtime family at this school... students are challenged academically and receive additional support if they're struggling. Engaged staff, welcoming community, unparalleled safety. All three of my (different) learners have had and received a great education from this school and (equally important) the confidence and platform to thrive at the next level.

My grandson attends this school, and I volunteer several days a week. He has made great gains academically, and has become a confident, happy learner. That's a vast improvement from our dismal experience at his previous school. My granddaughter attended FES in fifth grade and is having a highly successful middle school experience due to the excellent preparation she received from her fifth grade teachers. The support staff at FES is outstanding. Every time I am at the school, all staff members are engaged with students. The Principal is highly visible and involved in classrooms and with students. The atmosphere at this gem of a school is friendly, student-centered, and welcoming. I have thirty years of experience in education, and I am so impressed with this school.

A school full of teachers and administrators that listen and care.

I'm revising my review of this school due to the overwhelming growth and underwhelming test score drops that have occurred since we moved here. At first it was a great little small school rated an 8 on great schools. Now with the doubling of the population it is barely a 6 and very over populated. My children got lost and we had to pull them out. Not a great school afterall.

Franktown Elementary has been an amazing school for both of my children. The teachers really care about my kids and have their best interests at heart.

Franktown has been an amazing school for our children. We currently have a 4th grader and 2nd grader. The entire Franktown community is wonderful.

We love FES. The small size suits our family, and everyone from the principal to the lunch room staff know all of the students by name. The teachers are some of the best I've ever met. Most importantly, our son LOVES going to school and is excited to learn.

I agree that Mr. Harrell doesn't put the best interests of the students first. I have three sons who will be starting FES almost consecutively three years in a row. After he fired their best kindie teacher for his own personal dislike, I knew that I had to look for other options. So once my daughter finishes school here, we will be sending our other three elsewhere. Also, the school is already so crowded and with the continuing growth of our neighborhood, it will be a mess of overcrowding in another year or so. Very large class sizes, mediocre teachers, and poor administration.

I am the parent of Franktown Elementary students, and while I feel the teachers are very student focused, the administration is not. I don't think the principal has the best interest of students at heart; his decisions appear to be politically and personally motivated, rather than educationally focused. Every time I am in the building I get the impression that he is dismissive and belittling to staff and parents alike. For the most part, I have loved my kids teachers, they are caring and obviously there for the love of teaching. however, because kids are impressionable and learn what they see, my biggest concern with their day to day attendance at FES, is their exposure to the disrespect shown by administration.

Until the current principal stops using personal feelings to get rid of quality teachers, this school will go downhill.

We currently have two children at Franktown and have loved our experiences there. Challenging curriculum, small class sizes, and an overall loving and nurturing environment. It is a school with a great "community feel" and lots of involvement from parents in the classrooms, PTO, and community events.

I love LOVE this school. They have a really down to earth, back to the basics vibe and my daughter thrived while attending. The teachers and staff are patient and accepting. They nuture the child as a whole while still encouraging growth academically. You can not get better than this.
