They are quick to jump to conclusions when it comes to under performing students. Quick to call social services. They were even deceptive in making the report per the social worker herself. They defend their incompetent teachers and victim blame the students. They don't have any kind of behavioral or emotional programs or alternative learning when it comes to the emotional needs of the children. They bully the students and they are quick to cover their tracks and defend each other’s actions at the expense of the children. There’s a reason they have Some of the lowest test Scores in the State.

My son is coming from Molholm and is going to have to do online work from another school because I can't get or find transportation after school. No one told me until now. I'm not receiving any emails and I was expecting 2 half days this week and just found out today there is a full day whi h my son won't be attending because of the transportation issue

Lumberg has overcome many obstacles and have made many changes and still looking to thrive more. In the past two years we have seen a big positive change in our daughters achievements because of all the help she has received. Many parents are fast at judging this school with out themselves ever get involved in their kids education, go out there volunteer and you will see a better, clear picture of how this school has grown.

Great teachers. Staff seem caring and are credible in their fields. Have not heard of any bullying since my son has attended from K to 1st grade. Wish there was a stronger parent-teacher collaboration or groups. Perhaps, I should get more involved.

Not likely to have my child return. If there is one simple issue due to a childs behavioural disability they are quick to call social services instead of helping the parent or student.

They do not support children with disabilities instead the put a ring of pink tape around the child to make him/her "different" from the rest of the kids. Such a humiliating experience.

My daughter has been going to this school for two years now, and every year We've had the issue about nobody controlling traffic at the crosswalks. There is a "police" officer there, but does not do his job. Four times in the span of 4 months i have seen, including my kid, kids almost literally get hit by a car. I've complained to the school each time, and the so called "police" Officer hasn't done anything, along with school telling me that they Don't control the crosswalks, B.S.!! In kindergarten the school basically had no Teacher so about half a class of kindergartners we're behind including my child. Overall, horrible school!

Lumberg is a great school which has a diverse student body and dedicated, professional staff. The principal is always available for conversation, as is the full-time parent liason. Everyone who has contact with my child is open to answer questions or have conversations about his progress. The para-professionals are sweet and truly concerned about the kids in their care. There are many opportunities for the teachers to experience professional development and growth, and the school has a program in place to encourage parental involvement. There is an open-door policy and parents are welcomed to visit the school and volunteer. There is a feeling of welcome and inclusion in this school that we hadn't found in our other Jeffco Elementary School. Plus, the kids are really great--friendly, excited, and happy.

Don't let this little neighborhood school fool you- they are packed with dedicated teachers and staff that make sure you're child(ren) are succeeding. When your child needs extra attention in some areas they get it. When your child needs more challenge, they give it and keep pushing to get even further. My children have attended this school for 2 years and I'm pleased.

Great principal, teachers and staff! Our daughters are getting great individualized attention from awesome teachers. I highly recommend Lumberg and the other Edgewater schools. The economic and ethnic diversity is an asset to our children's development. Great support from the community.
