This school is mediocre at best, my son experienced some major bullying issues here that were resolved finally when he went to junior high. If your child is experiencing bullying issues I would work closely with the staff and principal, otherwise they will not be resolved.

Our child has moved on to DHMS and now EHS and we have all enjoyed the environment!

I used to hear how great this school was but honestly this school is entirely average. They have widespread bullying and behavioral issues that aren't consistently addressed. There are several newer and younger teachers that are excellent. There are also several older teachers who should clearly retire because they are barely engaged or paying attention. Results are driven by leadership and this school is missing a strong leader who can produce more than excuses.

The teachers are great! My kids loved explorer class and all the fun learning activities Pinewood has to offer.

After 2 years at Pinewood I can say that they are an average school with a great activity program. Poor communication with the principal and teachers (unanswered emails and phone calls where the subject was not addressed) left us feeling like we didn't matter. Perfect if you are a corporation however. My kids will not be returning and if I could, I would move.

My daughter is currently a first grader at Pinewood. Her Kindergarten teacher was absolutely amazing, and we enjoy her first grade teacher as well. I love the guided reading program and the explore classes offered. She is thriving and looks forward to school each and every day.
