I have two children attending Northview Elementary. When you walk into Northview, you can instantly see from teachers to support staff, their love for what they do. You will also see how connected the students feel to their school and community. Northview does an incredible job with communication to families; teachers emailing updates, district emails, and PTO emails. I love staying connected, and this school definitely exceeded my expectations.

I am a parent of 2 children at Northview. While Northview isn't the newest building in the district; what is happening on the inside is excellent. The teachers are amazing and make personal connections with the children. Parents are involved with volunteering in the classroom and with creating community. The PTO supports the school with fundraising that supplies books, software licenses, external programs (such as science programs with The Works or various theater programs) and more. The PTO also supports community-building activities such as Family Fun nights, Art Adventure (a Minneapolis Institute of Arts program) and the annual school carnival. Northview got a new principal last year who is passionate about children and supports programs within the school. While sports are supported through the Eagan Athletic Association; Northview has several extra-curricular activities. This year there are several Destination Imagination and Lego League Robotics teams. There is a Ski Club for 4th and 5th graders. Spanish is offered as an after-school program. Band begins in 5th grade and the annual 5th grade trip to Deep Portage is a highlight.

Wow! This school goes above and beyond. I have 2 children that attend Northview. One is in the gifted and talented program and the other one has difficulty in all subject areas. The teachers at this school have gone to great lengths to make sure our children's individual needs are met. My kids love going to school!

I am going into 9th grade as of the 2014-2015 school year, I went to Northview starting in kindergarten. I miss it so much! Not only will you learn math and reading, but you learn how to strive for success and learn life lessons. I can look back to every grade remembering all my wonderful teachers, starting with Mrs. Lee in kindergarten all the way to Mrs. Holtz in fifth grade! I have met so many friends from my neighborhood and outside that I will know for many years to come. Skip the traditional private schools, go to public! Northview was amazing!
