My son is a freshman at Warren. Let's just say the transition to Warren was not the smoothest. He was a straight A and GATE student at Griffiths so with 3 honor classes of course I expected above a 4.0 his freshman year! So you can imagine my surprise when he got his 1st progress report and he had two C's. I was so upset!! This is when his awesome counselor and teachers went into action! His counselor Mr. Lima set up meetings were both my son and I could talk to the teachers and find out what was going on. From that day forward Mr. Lima has become more like a good friend to both me and my son, he is always willing to talk to us and really cares about my sons success!! And all his teachers have been amazing, specially the honors teachers that make their classes challenging to prepare the kids for college!! I can't say enough good things about this school, thanks to the teachers, councelors and his hard work my son now has a 4.3 GPA!!

Honestly I just came here for 2 weeks already and thank lord im going back to my home school. my experience for only 2 weeks was horrible. If you ever have Spanish here dont go to Fuenmayors class. I regret going to Warren

The Counselors are a joke and not helpful at all. They let their "teacher of the year" leave without a fight. Administration pass the buck and are weak at best. Pulling our girl out! One year was too much.

This school has recently been awarded some federal funding to upgrade some of its facilities and add some great vocational training equipment, such as a full culinary arts training kitchen. The choir and music departments are outstanding, and Warren is now a magnet school for the arts. They were recently recognized as a California Distinguished School in Instrumenta and Vocal Music, Drama and Art. If you're an Arts-oriented student, this is your best bet for high school in the Downey area.

Warren is a great school. Extremely overcrowded and lunch time is crazy. My daughter was a great counselor always helpful, Mrs. Stewart as well. Mr. Westerman is an awesome A++++ teacher. Ms. Fisher awesome, Ms. Baldovski awesome, Mr. Homer awesome. If your child is disciplined and wants to have an education they will do great in any school.You might get some teachers, counselors, office people who don't care, you just have to be persistent until you get help, but there are only a couple of those who choose a wrong career and should not even be dealing with kids. You have those in every school. But I love Warren because the majority of the administration and teachers, parents care about the Warren kids. Overall they are an AWESOME SCHOOL. GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLASS OF 2015

This school needs to make some changes. The teachers have favoritism and if you are not one of them than you will most likely you will not get the attention and help needed from your teacher. Like another person said this school relays on discipline instead of focusing on education many student here have a serious attitude problem and it is impossible to be motivated to even show up. Needless to say I got seriously behind on my credits attempting to contacts my counselor was close to impossible and when I finally did she paid no attention to the fact that I was seriously behind eventually I begged her to send me to Colombus high, she would not do it senior year I went to register like always and was told I could no longer attend this school and would be sent to Columbus I could have finished school so much earlier if she would have just paid attention to me after being sent to Columbus it was as if all my problems disappeared teachers finally helped me my attendance was so much better and I even graduated early they even helped me with college applications and the students here are so much friendlier! Warren really was a nightmare school I'm glad I left.

This school has a lot of bullying problems. Is sad how teens are cruel and the school policy's are really to weak to protect the victims.
