When I came here I had the BEST time. Everyone was nice and I made lots of friends. Mead high school SUCKS.

Frederick High School is an awesome safe environment for my teenagers who both have a disability. They have been accomidating and one of my children is twice acceptional and requires over and above, they have received that with all of the teachers. We love this school for the teachers, facilities and inclusion.

Not very pleased with Frederick High. I've pulled my daughter out of the school because of behaviors of both adults and students. Aside from all of that, a certain assistant football coach/volunteer shouldn't be trusted around children. And he even works at another of the schools!!! Frankly scared me enough to re-enroll my student elsewhere.

My English teachers for all four years were good. Sports are not great, but SCHOOL should still be about academics. Arts programs are improving, and there are a lot of clubs. They are getting control of bullying by students. I had more bullying by parents than anyone else.

Positive changes are definitely here. New athletic director, new principal, new dean of students, and a whole new vibe. Th sense of school pride is changing. Get involved, be the change you want to see. It's only going to get better from here!

As a 2014 graduate, all i can say is, i learned nothing, i was not prepared at all for college, and even in other things, simple things, like finding a job. teachers never really care about what they teach to students, and the bullying level is severely high, i would never recommend this school to anyone for fear for their children

Academically this school does not prepare students for college. If your child is into sports, I would recommend Erie or Mead. My child signed up for Tack and Football and was taught as much as he was taught in the classroom. Same coach does both. Unless your child was born knowing how to play and excel at these sports, your child will walk away with as much frustration as the parents. There has been no effort to change coaching for 18 years, Go elsewhere!!!! Home schooling would be better by far!!!

This is an outstanding school! We have had children attending FHS since 2009. The principal, Pete Vargas, has shown a commitment to the students like I have never seen in a principal. He shows up at EVERYTHING to support the students. The assistant principals are great, too. The teachers, counselors and support staff are all caring. They are open to discussion and communication, but as parents we treat them as partners and not adversaries - parents often err in not examining their own child's actions. All of our kids have been on the honors/AP track and the oldest was very successful, earning several scholarships and was well prepared for an intense curriculum at a competitive private college. I see older kids mentoring younger kids in sports and good sportsmanship, our special needs child has on occasion had an IEP need or issue that has always been quickly resolved and there have been no problems with bullying, but instead concern and easy acceptance. The music and drama departments do quite well considering limited budgets. We love FHS and believe they are helping us raise up kids with good character and a solid academic work ethic!
