Love this school. We’ve been here for my child for 4 years and have had nothing but good experiences. They’ve handled every issue we’ve had right away with understanding and kindness. The principle is wonderful and all the kids love him.

This is our 2nd year at red hawk and so far the only problem seems to be is that there and not enough staff or paraprofessionals to properly manage as many children a Red Hawk Elementary has at this time also there are some serious Bullying that goes on other than that the kids like it and we love movement and speros...

My kids love this school. I love the movement program and the character awards throughout the school year. The teachers are amazing - they are very caring and engaging with my kids. The classes are crowded, but what the teachers and administrators are able to do with that constraint is pretty impressive.

I would never normally leave a review but this is hands down the most innovative and engaging elementary school I have ever encountered. The teachers and administrators are passionate about what they do; the before and after school activities are diverse and creative; and the approach to learning is dynamic. The fact that this gem is a public school, not a private one, is amazing to me.The only downside to this school is that it is a victim of its own success- definitely overcrowded and lacking in resources. No teacher should have a class of 25 students with only parent volunteers to help. This impacts teaching, there is no way it couldn't. The state as a whole really has to make schools a priority and decrease class size- something research concretely supports time and time again.

All the teachers and staff of red hawk are fantastic and my kids are growing leaps and bounds every week. I feel like the teachers care so much about my children but I am sure they treat them just the same as all the other children. We moved to this area for our kids because our previous school district was horrible. Our only regret is that we did not do this move sooner. I have only fantastic things to say about this school and the teachers!!! Amazing!

We love the teachers and staff at Red Hawk, and the relationships they take the time to build with the students and their parents. Despite large class sizes, the teachers use available resources to ensure that each student receives the one-on-one instruction time they need to thrive.

We are on our third year here, and we couldn't be happier. My son previously attended an excellent Montessori school, but he's grown leaps and bounds since attending Red Hawk. He is reading a grade level ahead, and his math skills are also advanced. We are actually contemplating a move out of Erie, but this school is keeping us here! Really a great place (and Mr. Weinberger is a fantastic principal).

The classrooms are crowded. The teachers rely heavily on worksheets. The teaching is not engaging and students are allowed to slip through the cracks. I am a teacher and this school has some of the worst teaching I have ever seen.

My kids have been attending Red Hawk for three years now and it has been a great experience. The school's focus is on movement so they have a lot of opportunities to move throughout the day, an innovate design to the school's layout and an emphasis on health & nutrition. The teachers are very passionate about their students. There is an excellent gifted & talented program where the students meet with the GT teacher four days a week for about an hour. The only drawback and it is significant is the class size. It is large this year in the first grade.

Progressive, energetic principal. We've had nothing but fantastic teachers. RHE won a national grant for their movement program. Only complaint is that it is full and crowded, but they've done a good job managing class size.

I'm very happy with this school. Its' principal, Mr. Weinberger, is super kind, smart and proactive. He even did a Ted talk about the importance of movement, which they do daily before starting class. Mr. Burrous, kindergarten teacher of my son last year, is simply amazing. The lunch ladies, the teachers are all very pleasant. My son can read at a 2nd grade level and he's only going to 1st grade.
