My experience at this school had its high moments but also very low moments where my child experienced racism and it was just blown over by the so called principal and office staff. If you are black please keep your children out of this school. Save yourself the trouble and enroll them in a school where they will treated equally.

This school may be good academically but it lacks real leadership and discipline for bad behavior is practically nonexistent. Also, if you are a parent and have an issue with the school for example a teacher or a procedure/policy of the school you will be brushed aside. The best you can expect is a "political" answer, the subject is danced around but never really addressed. If you try to push the matter then you are completely ignored.

I teach an extracurricular, after-school class for students at this school as I do for other schools throughout northwest Indiana and I can always tell in about two minutes just how dedicated the day-long teachers are to teaching and maintaining appropriate discipline in their school ... This is a school that plainly has a dedicated and consistent day-long teaching staff as well as administrators who expect the best in their teachers and their students (as well as the custodial staff since this is a very clean school in one of the older buildings I teach at) ... the students are respectful and adhere to instruction from me quite willing ... they are enthusiastic and interested and while the subject i teach can be a bit tedious at times, they give their best effort ... as with any group of students who just finished a day of school and are ready to explode into their after-school lives, they do on occasion have an extra energy that needs to be reigned in but it doesn't require more than a simple reminder from me and they are back on task This is obviously a well-run school with educators who care and give their best to their profession, their students, and their school.
