Taft is #3 best public school in Lake County as well as #40 best in Indiana sold us. The new state of the art brand new construction is the best place for our children. The loving staff is exceptional and we are grateful to have a school community here that our children can’t wait to get to school every day.

We love Taft! The academic curriculum is very strong and the teachers are excellent, enthusiastic and eager to work with the students! Student services goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need to succeed. Taft is overall A+ outstanding experience for our child and family.

Moving here from out of state, the teachers, admin, and students have been nothing but welcoming, and the educational opportunities both academic and athletic have been wonderful. Made a potentially difficult transition very easy.

Great school! My daughters love it. We moved from Cedar Lake and they have said that it is better than Hanover Central Middle.

We moved from Gary to Crown Point this past summer and the school system is great. It is safe and there are many offerings! Our daughter is at CPHS and is doing fantastic. Our son is here at Taft and is doing good. He had a few issues with socializing with the other students at first. Once they got to know each other better, he has been very accepted and has been invited to different events such as birthdays, outings, games, etc. His grades could be better but I remember the trouble I had in middle school and know he will do great ESPECIALLY because of the great teachers and support staff. The school could use some expansion as it feels somewhat crowded. Also, the drive to this school is a pain coming from near the Winfield area. In the future, that area may need its own middle school. However, Taft is great and I strongly recommend this place to my friends and family and anyone looking to move into the CP community.

I am an eighth grade student at Taft, and i LOVE taft! The teachers are great, and I can always get extra help when I need it. I love all the different clubs and sports that Taft offers. Taft is an older school, so it's only natural that everything isn't updated. Plus, there have been adiitions in the past.
