This school is a joke. The whole Rockdale district is a joke. The learning support is not there at all. Most of the teachers lack classroom management skills, care and concern for the students. Most of them give the vibe off, that they are just there to get a paycheck, judge you for not having your life 1000% together and do what they can to avoid lawsuits. They do not help students who OBVIOUSLY NEED HELP! As soon as my husband and I get a chance to get out of Rockdale, we are jumping at it and will never look back. I can guarantee you we will never regret it. Heed my warning, if you enroll your babies into this school you need to be 100% a voice for your baby(ies). Don't be afraid to speak up, encourage your child to speak up and not rely 100% on what teachers say, because it all depends on what teacher, what time of day it is and what the temperature is like. smh.

This school would be better if it wasn't overflowing with staff that truly don't want to be there or are patronizing to both students and parents. It is hit and miss with teachers. One of my son's teachers told me she should have been a lawyer like her brother. The current assistant principal will talk to you like you are beneath her. From my understanding it has gone down hill in the recent years and used to be much better.

Edwards Middle School is very accomplished and they continue to do great things and be a motivation to the students.

This is the worst school ever. My daughter goes to the school and I regret ever enrolling her in this school. Most teachers are airheads, and have no idea what they're doing. The school told me that as long as she gets there before 8:45 then it would be fine so why they calling me when she gets there at 8:40 at the latest. If you can stay away from the school I advise you to this is the worst school in the county but yet I don't understand how they get such great ratings. It seems like they've gone down in quality, maybe they got lazy who knows.

Edwards is a good school and most of the teachers are caring and responsible people. But there are teachers who BULLY students and put them down. Teachers who do nothing but give worksheets and videos everyday. And NO ONE goes over "reports" that they make you fill out if something happens. There are some teachers there i love! I am really impressed with the counseling staff. We are a smart school but these kids get away with bullying and doing other things that is unexceptible.

I am very dissatisfied with EMS. The vigor of homework is non existent. There is a lack of transparency with regard to knowing what instruction or topic is being taught. I have also experienced teachers not inspired to notify me when my child, their student is failing, as to create intervention before it is too late. You may ask did I not know the standing of my child. Yes, but I did expect the teacher at some point to do the ethical thing and tug my coat...at least once. To Reinterate. How do you expect students to learn how to study if the discovery pocess is not encourages and developed by way of homework. Classwork is not

The best thing this school has going is the principal Mr. Middleton and assistant principals Mr. Trickett and Ms. Nelson. They really care about their students and go out of their way to select the best teachers for the school. My child had a rough first year, but is now happy.
