Beware we sent our child here BIG regrets. They have a D Level rating and are on the underperforming school list for the State of Georgia. Do your research before enrolling your child here there are much better schools in the county with more caring staff!

This school is HORRIBLE. My child comes home every single day crying about bullying, she's only 8 years old!. i would recommend you guys keeping out for your students and making sure they are all protecting the is unacceptable.

It appears at the beginning of the last 2 school years, my child would be in one class , then 3 weeks later she is switched. The last 3 years we have had new principals. No stability for our kids. Teachers are out sick or on pregnancy leave, the sub teacher cannot pick off where our children left off.I am considering pulling my daughter out of Flat Shoals and many other parents feel the same way.

I feel that this school is so so. I'm pleased with the way and what my child is learning but I feel that the staff here not personal or caring enough. Overall I feel rushed and brushed off especially in the front office and with my child's teacher. When you come to the school for any reason they stop you at the front office and it's like they almost don't want you to go to the classrooms. The older African American lady in the front office really don't seem to show any general interest in the kids or parents themselves. My child's teacher is also very short and not personal at all. She's always "busy". It's just something missing from this school that I'm not pleased with. I can say my child is learning, somewhat, that is the reason for the 4 stars. But they really need a 3 star rating if I could rate the staff alone.

I really can't give Flat Shoals Elementary School, any ratings, YET.! I would like to say this,. After finally getting my child registered after a month long battle with the board of education, I take my child to his new school, and they were very, unpleasant. With the attitude that was given to us, we were treated as if we were intruding, as if we were wasting their time. I'm sure that a lot of other parents felt the same way. To the point that I' am afraid to allow my child to ride the school bus, because of the amount of children that had been misplaced, when school was released. I have had a bad experience all together with the Rockdale County board of education's system, along with the Secretary, and my child's 5th grade Teacher, of Flat Shoals Elementary School. I do hope that my child gets better treatment as this school year proceeds.

Flat Shoals is an awesome school!!! The teachers and administrative staff are all great!!! I'm a very happy parent of a 3rd grader this year.

I absolutely love Flat Shoals Elementary School. I have been a FSE Parent for 6 years and I would recommend this school to anyone. The entire staff is so welcoming, which makes the experience that much better.
