This is the worst school i have ever been to, Antonio Thomas you are the worst assistant principal i've ever experienced you need to be fired and removed from working with children as a whole. You are a big bully and you pick on young girls, i hope you never find love and you spend your entire life alone, miserable, and unemployed.

You don’t have to go here, then don’t. This school has a lot of problems especially with making sure all students are felling protected. There are a number of fights every month it’s fells like. This school needs serious reform, and again if you have the choice to go to another high school in Rockdale, trust me. Take it.

My overall experience at this school was terrible. I will say a contributing factor is that I had come from the Gwinnett County public school system and coming into Salem they were already behind in curriculum by at least a grade and a half (some classes being even further along than that time frame) soon upon my arrival. With attending a school such as Salem I went from school mascot to no school spirit at all, a full AP/HONORS course load to remedial classes due to scheduling errors, and feeling safe and comfortable at a school to being bullied with a referral to a social worker I did not end up needing.

Its a good school the teachers really do care because i actually go here. These reviews are based on third party information which is really sad tbh. But i love our principle shes so sweet and she takes our education very seriously.

I am sorry about the bad experiences you all have had, but I can not agree. I have not had any problems with contacting teachers. I am called for everything, like I asked. My son coaches also help with the rules. It is immediately taken care of. My son has told me of fights here and there, but what school doesn't. Unlike most of you, I am trying to keep him at Salem. He has bball, in the engineering program and going into dual enrollment. My child is set to succeed. 2017 graduate with honors coming to you soon.....

The January 13, 2013 post really is an accurate description of the school. Unfortunately I went there for four years. When I moved on to college. I found that I was servilely behind in math and writing. Needless to say I spent one year in college trying to undo the mess they put me in. They don't have any control over the want to be thugs and when confronted they act like the school is doing perfectly fine. Don't even get me started on the administration.

I am a Student at Salem High, and my parents are trying to get me out of this school soon as possible. Even being in the advanced classes, it's still hard to learn in class. All of the students are disrespectful and never give the teachers a chance to actually TEACH! It's only my 9th grade year, and I have girls trying to fight me, for NO REASON, other than the fact that i stand up for myself. I hate this school. I though that it would get better. :? It hasnt everyone here is rachet, and just dosent care.

I currently attend Salem . I am a sophomore.. 1st thing's 1st . The ridiculous rumor "fights everyday," should stop, because here at Salem that is clearly not the case. Ifstudents are popping off at the mouth at home, without being controlled, how do you expect the teachers to be ableto control them if you cant? Here at Salem, our administrators and counselors take fights very serously. I believe that the administrators are doing the best they can do with the IRRATE students, and PARENTS' behavorial issues. Most "big fights" are caused by freshman, yet their parents are the MOST concerned. I've been in arguments, sure, i'm human, we all have, but NEVER at Salem has it blown out of proportion. If i have a problem I tell my counselors, if I need the problem solved faster, I will tell any staff member and they will handle it.. or I could get to the root of the problem immediately, i go directly to the office and request an administrator.. perferably Ms. Bloodworth or Mr. Williams . Alot of how the kids act has to do with their home-training, so to all of the parents complaining.. uhmmmmm.............*cough.cough* GO NOLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLASS OF 2014 ! ;)

I absoutly hate the fact that my child has to attend this school. My child can't learn anything in the classrooms because the teachers have no classroom control. Once he came home and said to me that He couldn't pay attention in class because of the other misbehaving students. So I contacted the teacher. To my disbelief he says" Yes mam I am having problems controlling my class." My son fails because they can't control their kids. This year I try to stay in touch with the teachers, Through e-mail. They hardly ever answer. They don't update grades on the i-parent Site. How are we suppossed to watch what our kids are doing? This school is horrible and nothing like it was when I went to school there.
