The school and its teachers/staffs are very good and cares for the children . I see that there is a lack of infrastructure and require upgrades in the cafeteria . The cafeteria/stage and equipments looks like a run down school with sounding window ACs gives a bad reputation to the school. the teachers and Principal Mrs.Abubaker is doing an excellent job.

So far I am pleased with this school. It's staff are friendly, encouraging, and respectful to both parents & students. Great job!

The school does the best that it can with the resources it has. The school has many kids in TAG, even enough to change it from a pull out TAG program to maybe the next level - TRC Program. Not sure why this is not pursued. More can be done towards Parent Involvement. Many of the teachers take a vested interest in the kids. The Principal, Ms Winston, is very open and approachable.

Walden Woods is no exception to other schools in the area. Communication from anyone other than the Principal and Vice Principal is absolutely horrible. Teachers do not respond to e-mails. Parent participation is often low becuase we aren't informed of events until the very last minute. PTA meetings are often missed because they will change the date and sometimes you get the mass phone call but most times you do not. I was informed this morning that there is a meeting tonight. So no I will not be in attendence which makes parent participation look bad but if we aren't informed, we can't participate. Perhaps a Newsletter would be a worthy tool to use.

WW is a great public school. My children have attended for the past 2 years. I often communicate via email with the teachers and get a timely response. The teachers really care about the student progress and development. Parent involvement is low, but WW and the PTA make to work.
