We had two kids at this school over three years. The only good experience we had was with the Kindergarten teachers, presumably because they have TA help. The other teachers all seemed tired, I engaged, and like they had too many kids. After Kindergarten we received zero communications about our kids other than progress reports. If you are looking for a mediocre experience and average tree scores this is for you. It’s not awful, it’s just not great. The Imprints after school program seems over crowded and the teachers yell at the kids. Mine hated Imprints.

10 for all the teachers EXEPT Mrs Self. 5 for administration as they aren’t open to working with different individuals needs. It’s their way or the highway

We moved here since December 2017 and have had great experience with the teachers and staff. My son’s teacher was very attentive to his learning needs and open to communication. I am happy to see him making progress and making good friends.

We are very disappointed with our experience at Morgan. Particularly given that it is a new school with good resources, an active PTSA, and many dedicated teachers, test scores and general achievement are sub-par. Dr. Emory should give the administration of this school a good look and consider making some necessary changes.

Overall I think the school has great potential. With the right training for teachers and staff on proper teaching and handling children with learning disabilities, it would make leaps and bounds.

This is our 2nd year at Morgan Elementary (we had moved from Charlotte), and I cannot tell you how happy we are to be at this school. My then 1st-grader, having been in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County school system only for Kindergarten, was behind in reading by about 3 levels. His 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Kreger, and his reading teacher, Ms. Smith worked very hard and diligently with our son. By the end of the year he not only met the expected reading level, but surpassed it by one!! My experience with MES has been nothing short of amazing. Strong communication amongst parents, staff and students; pride in wanting to be there (for both teachers and students) to help, to teach, to learn, to nurture. I feel so lucky that my family is a part of this positive and caring community! Thank you, Mr. Hayes and faculty! Keep up the GREAT work!!!

Terrible school with unprofessional teachers. The assistant principal is horrible, she shows favoritism towards certain students and parents. The school's academic progress clearly reflects the lack of interest in the teachers. Their test scores are not even meeting state expectations, which is sad because this state does not have over the top expectations. There are a select few that are caring and do have the children's best interests at heart but unfortunately it is not enough. It is so disappointing to see such a new school with all of the resources to be successful throwing it away due to bad management by the principal and teachers.

I think a great school starts first with a wonderful principal and staff. Morgan has a fabulous, caring, principal in Mr. Hayes who is beloved by students, parents and his staff. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns and requests. Morgan is a brand new elementary school and as a result has beautiful new facilities, technology, and resources. We moved our children to this school when it opened and it was the best decision we have made. I think it's the best kept secret in town! But word is getting out and teacher student rations are higher and classes are not as small as they were in the beginning. I serve on the PTA and can say that there is great support from parents and you shouldn't hesitate to come and join the Morgan family.

I moved A LOT when I was in school, and I can honestly say I believe this is one of the BEST schools I have come across. The staff is amazing, and polite, the principal does an outstanding job with keeping everyone informed, and the teacher my child had is beyond amazing. If I could have packed Morgan Elementary up and taken it with me when I moved, it would have been the first thing in my suitcase! I recommend for ANYONE in the area!

This is my first year here and I love it! I am in the forth grade and my teacher, Mr. Kerth, is awesome! Everyone has a great personality and attitude. You don't really have to worry about bullying because Ms. Ingram has it all under control. We get to do a lot of activities that help make learning really fun. Thanks to everyone at Morgan for making my first year in NC the best EVER! ~Hannah Young
