So far, not a happy camper. The communication with the school is horrible. And when the staff is disrespectful, instead of acknowledging their disrespect, they make excuses for one another. Her last school had a communication board between the staff and the parents and it was amazing. I guess the grass isn’t so greener on the other side.

My child attend kindergarten in 2020-2021. The excellence and leadership of the faculty and staff were evident in the way they balanced community safety and educational needs during COVID.

The administration does nothing to stop bullying, even when they know it is happening. My son was hit on the playground with a monitor present and the principal refused to discipline the student because the monitor wasn't paying attention to what was going on.

PRE needs this 5,000 to start some kind of bully prevention program. My daughter came from weigel a great school where she had no issues. My daughter has always been excited for school until we had to place her here. She is bullied everyday, pushed, made fun of too. She is a beautiful, smart girl that gets along with anyone but this school's discipline is out of hand. The students behavior is so horrible it makes the teachers cry. I feel like the faculty has given up on the good and the bad kids. Not even sure who to blame more the school or the parents of the many, many unruly children that attend this school. My heart hurts as a mother to have to send her to PRE. Praying things will get better for my little one and PRE!

Pleasant Run Elementary is one of the best things that has happened for my granddaughter. The teachers in her classes are totally engaged and concerned about making sure that she is successful in all she does. They encourage her and are patient with guidance when she stumbles. I believe this school is on its way to the top. The management and staff are all on track to make sure the children are the best they can be. THANK YOU ALL!

My child started attending PRE in 3rd grade after the narrow grade range took effect. He came from Welch Elm. and after having such a great experience there, this was a disaster. The students have no respect for the teachers, themselves or their education. The teachers do not like direct communication with the parents, in turn, the students are hard to discipline and have no desire to learn. We are looking to move our child out of this school as soon as possible to an environment that will be safe and bring education back to the top priority. No one has control in this school but the undisciplined children with nasty attitudes and that is not the environment you want your child to start their elementary learning experience. Be sure to have open communication with your child in this school because it has been found that if they are sick and want to go to the nurse, there has been instances where your children will be called liars and kept in class and you, as the parent, will not be notified. I wish the board of education would step in and fix the problems in the school before things keep getting worse.
