I’ve just graduated 2 years ago, and there’s a reason that so many teachers have left over this summer. They don’t know how to budget. They spent much of their money on a service dog, that almost none of the students saw. It provided no therapy. Now, they’ve been fundraising for a new playground for years, and they’ve set themselves back even more. The new principal isn’t using her power to further this school.

They need to take Jesus out of their name because nothing they do reflects on how Jesus treats kids! If your child is not a perfect little robot do not send them here. I received daily lengthy negative emails because after just 5 days they decided that they didnt want my child there because they actually had to “ be teachers”. your 5 year child said poopy, he said crybaby, he kicked a box, he hid under the desk so he missed spanish, tried to cut someone elses paper when using scissors, etc, etc Even my counselor and psychiatrist cnp friends read them in disbelief! They push for kids to be on meds.so again that they dont have to be teachers. They have a therapy dog but hes not for therapy you have to earn enough stickers or earn your way to see him so not sure how hes therapeutic. So lets get a therapy dog but then kick the kids out that might need the therapy dog. Only good thing about this school is there is an officer there all day. The teacher said my child started to cry and get upset because he didnt understand letters , ok hes 5 and your the teacher but instead of being a teacher she emailed me complaining that he cried because he didnt understand something. I could write a ton more and this was all just in 5 weeks because we left. I would never recommend this school. There is no compassion or love felt in this school what so ever.

This school was decent in terms of academic material, but the way they taught it was not very effective. Their strategy was to assign busy work related to the topic as it was easy for them to give completion grades for and they did not have to teach. The student teacher relationships weren’t there either. I was bullied my entire time there and would tell the teachers and nothing ever got better. This is what resulted in me disliking certain teachers as I thought they would do something about it but failed to do so. The other students there were also mean. They not only bullied me but other students and disrespected teachers everyday.

I feel that academically this school creates great students. But mental health is not priority, or cared about what so ever.

I have had multiple children attend and I will strongly discourage anyone from attending until some significant changes are made in the leadership.

This school as a parochial school is fundamentally lacking in compassion.

The principal is terrible. He is difficult to communicate with and seems to run the program by fear. Stay away if you expect any constructive communication! They are also unable to do any reasonable special education; don't let their web site fool you!

Sacred Heart is a wonderful school. I have 4 kids at the school now and I am very happy. The teachers are very focus on giving the kids the best education. The school is an innovator using the I-Pad program for the 6th, 7th and 8th grade to teach our kids with technology. Our kids learn about God every day and how to apply their faith into their lives. The community is a wonderful support for all families. This really is the best place to educate kids in Fairfield.
