My 5 year old son actually says "school is fun". CJDS has been an amazing and supportive community for us since the start. My son is excited to go to school every day, but also is retaining so much new information and learning.

As a parent who has had both of my children attend Charlotte Jewish Day School (CJDS), I cannot speak highly enough of this institution. CJDS has consistently exceeded our expectations in providing an amazing educational experience.One of the standout features of CJDS is its nurturing environment, where every student is valued and supported. The sense of community within the school is palpable, fostering strong connections not only among students but also between students and faculty. This creates a warm, inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe exploring, learning, and growing.Academically, CJDS offers a rigorous curriculum that not only emphasizes core subjects but also incorporates Jewish values and teachings into daily lessons. This unique approach not only cultivates intellectual curiosity but also instills a sense of moral responsibility and cultural awareness in students.Moreover, the teachers at CJDS are exceptional. CJDS Faculty, Staff and Administration are genuinely and excellently dedicated to each child and family who attends. They all work in tandem with each other to problem solve and deliver the best possible service and education to each student. Both the academic and parochial curricula are thoughtfully and well crafted. CJDS truly is a "great" school!

We started attending CJDS during Covid-19. It was not in our plan to send our daughter to a private school, but our transition to the day school was one of the bright spots during the Pandemic. Each teacher really invests in their students and is able to differentiate lessons to meet students where they are and/or where they can be. We were so pleased with our daughter's first year that we decided to enroll our son for Kindergarten. Both of our children are thriving academically and beaming with Jewish pride. It can be tough to be a Jewish child in the South, but CJDS gives my children a place to be proud to be who they are, grow, make mistakes, but most importantly, teach them to be good human beings who do what is right not what is easy. We are grateful for CJDS and their wonderful team of educators.

My daughter is finishing up her second year at CJDS and is very excited about returning next year. The level of engagement and connection that she feels to the school is so much stronger than our experience at her previous school. There is also also much greater access to individual attention from the teaching staff which has really helped her to thrive and build confidence.

We enrolled our daughter at CJDS for 1st grade in 2020 - 2021 after she had attended CMS Dilworth Elem. (Sedgefield). for K. She has now attended CJDS for 2 years, as of school year ending in 2022.CJDS maintained safe, in-person learning with optional remote learning available without interruption. They communicated effectively & clearly about COVID guidelines & updated / modified these as conditions changed. CJDS is run very efficiently. The administration is exceptionally responsive, competent, & communicative. There is an amazing amount of parent & staff involvement.My daughter has thrived at CJDS. There is a high level of support at CJDS from the teachers & staff. My daughter has been exceptionally happy & confident in the environment at CJDS.

CJDS is truly a phenomenal school! My children have attended for 2 years and have thrived in this environment. The school is equally dedicated to the safety of the children as they are to their academic development. I also truly appreciate the social & emotional learning addition to the curriculum - and it is a favorite for both my children!

My son is in his second year at CJDS. When it became clear our public school didn't have a good in person plan I looked at CJDS. I had heard great feedback. My son acclimated well and was home all of three days last year. The commitment by the administration, teachers, parents and children make for a safe environment where children are thriving educationally and socially.

We LOVE CJDS! Our son felt at home from day one. They have done an excellent job of providing a safe educational environment during COVID. The school feels like a family and we are confident that our son is growing and learning as a student and as a person. Their educational focus on the whole child is so impressive. In less than 1 year, our son learned to read and write in Hebrew, including cursive Hebrew! Highly recommend CJDS.

My daughter started at CJDS in kindergarten and had an amazing first year! The teachers are top notch and truly care about the children and giving them the best education possible while also ensuring they learn life skills such as coping mechanisms to handle stress, especially during a pandemic. The school did an amazing job with Covid protocols to keep everyone as safe as possible and frequent communication from teachers and administration. We love the Jewish education she is learning at school and she is being pushed at an appropriate level to excel in academics. My daughter is now in first grade and so happy to be back at CJDS!

CJDS has been a blessing! Our daughter started in 1st grade and is now a 3rd grader. We have regular communication with the teachers and administration, and the school has worked with us to employ the right strategies in the classroom to help our daughter be the best learner she can be. The curriculum, teachers, administration, and location are all great! Our daughter has learned so much and is in a safe, loving environment!

We love CJDS! I have two boys currently attending and we could not be happier. The biggest challenge we faced when relocating to Charlotte was finding a school that would give our children the educational, emotional, and social foundation that were crucial for us. We found that and so much more at CJDS. Our children are getting a top notch education and being taught to be caring, productive members of society. The school does a phenomenal job of building character in the children. The teachers and staff care about the children as a whole and are purposeful in how they interact with each child by ensuring the child has the tools s/he needs to be successful, whether that means challenging them more, or finding a different way to present the information. Better yet, not only do our children get all this, they also get a strong Jewish identity! They learn about Judaism, Hebrew, and Israel. They gain confidence in their Jewish identity.

I fully recommend CJDS! All the teachers are very kind and really encourage each child to be strong. We love the school, the teachers, the campus and the curriculum. We were born in Argentina, we lived in Florida for more than 10 years and we have two children. When we decided to move to Charlotte, we were concerned about the change of school. The director and the staff were always inclusive. Our daughter is very happy and we found all the support and respect at CJDS. She is always eager to go to school and has a wonderful relationship with her teachers and with her new friends. Jewish learning goes far beyond Hebrew. She is learning about Israel, the Torah and the Jewish Traditions. My daughter is always enthusiastic to tells us everything she knows about it. CJDS is a very special school that includes Jews of orthodox, reformist and conservative orientation.

If I had all the resources the build a school that will fit my kids' needs in the most perfect way, I would build it exactly the CJDS is now, I wouldn't change a thing. The staff is incredible, the high level of curriculum is delivered in the such an engaging way, the attention to details saved my kids life (and I am not being dramatic) I think catching things on time and responding the right way can make or break a child. If it wasn't so clear until now I highly recommend. Goodluck

Amazing! I have two boys who attend Charlotte Jewish Day School, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to send them there. Our family has lived in several different cities, so we have experience at other Jewish Day Schools and Independent Schools. CJDS outshines all of the others. The academics are phenomenal. My boys accelerate in math, science and love reading. They have been challenged since day one and are learning at an incredible pace. I love how CJDS uses pre-tests and assessments before new math and language arts topics are introduced to see if each individual child needs accelerated learning or extra support. The teachers, staff and leadership are approachable, dynamic and forward-thinking. The kids love going to school which is so important. Highly, highly recommend.

Superior. I am so grateful that my child is involved in CJDS. From day 1, she has been nurtured and encouraged to be all she can be! I love this place.
